• Consultation with local community leaders and groups of key
stakeholders in Orior-Osemwende (Figure 6.1), Ihovbor-Evboeka (Figure
6.2) and Idunmwowina-Urho-Nisen (Figure 6.3) communities to provide
them with an overview of the proposed Project, the EIA process, potential
project impacts and to discuss likely mitigation measures. This was
carried out alongside the collection of further baseline data using
qualitative and consultative processes to better understand the socioeconomic
context of the Project area, stakeholders and their perceptions of
the Project.
• Meetings and correspondence with NGOs and research institutions for the
gathering of baseline information.
This stage of stakeholder engagement was completed in November 2011.
