decommissioning activities is likely to be perceptible at the closest noise<br />

sensitive properties during the key phases of the work.<br />

<strong>Impact</strong> Significance<br />

Noise levels for decommissioning may be similar to that for construction, but<br />

of lesser intensity. Noise levels are unlikely to exceed 70 dB LAeq, 1hr which is a<br />

broadly acceptable criteria for decommissioning noise impacts given the type<br />

of activity and distance between the main work sites and nearest sensitive<br />

receptors. Noise impacts during decommissioning are therefore considered<br />

to be insignificant prior to mitigation.<br />
