Description of mitigation<br />

• Local Employment Strategy;<br />

• Encourage the construction workforce to undergo testing<br />

(<strong>Azura</strong> and contractors) for sexually transmitted<br />

infections (STIs);<br />

• Health awareness programme incorporating an<br />

HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention program which<br />

will include voluntary testing, the provision of condoms,<br />

and education of the workforce and local communities;<br />

• Camp and workforce management protocols;<br />

• Traffic Management Plan;<br />

• Communicate Project transport plans;<br />

• Grievance mechanism;<br />

• Consider investing in local health care facilities, and<br />

supporting them in carrying out ongoing monitoring of<br />

the health profile in the area;<br />

• Fire and explosion risk management including routine<br />

safety checks, training, first aid boxes, emergency spill<br />

prevention plans; and<br />

• Conduct community safety awareness campaigns<br />

regarding presence of the gas pipeline and the dangers of<br />
