small amount of regional variation, providing confidence that the choice of<br />

meteorology is unlikely to be a critical factor in the assessment. The model<br />

used data for the years 1989, 1990, 1994, 1997 and 1998, which represent the<br />

most complete years available. That the years are non-sequential is not<br />

considered a limitation.<br />

The wind roses produced from this meteorological data set (Figure 1.1)I<br />

identify that the prevailing wind direction is predominantly from the<br />

southwest for all years assessed. With the prevailing wind direction being<br />

almost exclusively from the southwest, air quality impacts from the Project<br />

will therefore be predominantly experienced to the northeast of the Project site<br />

for both short term and annual average concentrations.<br />
