DOOR HARDWARE
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 SECTION INCLUDES
A. Hardware for hollow steel doors.
B. Lock cylinders for doors for which hardware is specified in other sections.
C. Thresholds.
D. Weather-stripping, seals and door gaskets.
E. Drip Caps.
1.02 SUBMITTALS
A. Keys: Coordinate with Owner for keying requirements.
1.03 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
A. Conform to code for requirements applicable to fire rated doors and frames.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS
A. Hinges: Stanley, Hager, or Lawrence
B. Pivots: Stanley, Hager, or Lawrence.
C. Latch Sets: Schlage, Yale, or Corbin.
D. Push/Pulls: Rockwood.
E. Cylindrical Locks: Schlage, Yale, or Corbin.
F. Mortise Locks: Schlage, Yale, or Corbin.
G. Exit Devices: Electric latch by Von Duprin.
H. Closers: LCN, Norton or Yale.
I. Thresholds: Reese Enterprises, Inc., Pemko.
J. Flush Bolts: Ives Co.
K. Security Bar: Exit Security Bars
L. Electric Strikes by Von Duprin.
M. Drip Edge: Pemko
N. Weather Strip: Pemko
O. Or as indicated on the Finish Hardware Schedule.
2.02 FINISHES
A. Finishes: Per Drawings.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install hardware in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
B. Mounting heights for hardware from finished floor to center line of hardware item: As listed in
Schedule, unless otherwise noted:
1. For steel doors and frames: Comply with DHI "Recommended Locations for Architectural
Hardware for Steel Doors and Frames."
2. For steel doors and frames: See Section 08111.
C. Provide temporary construction lock cores.
3.03 ADJUSTING
A. Adjust hardware for smooth operation.
B. Adjust closers to comply with ANSI criteria, where required.
