chrome plated where exposed with handwheel, integral vacuum breaker in conformance with
ASSE 1011.
B. Reduced Pressure Backflow Preventers:
1. Manufacturer: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide product by one of the
following.
2. Basis-of-Design Product: J.R. Smith or comparable product by one of the following.
a. Watts
b. Febco
3. ASSE 1013; bronze body with bronze internal parts and stainless steel springs; two
independently operating, spring loaded check valves; diaphragm type differential pressure
relief valve located between check valves; third check valve that opens under back pressure in
case of diaphragm failure; non-threaded vent outlet; assembled with two gate valves, strainer,
and four test cocks.
2.04 TRENCH DRAIN
A. Basis-Of-Design Product: Trench drain as manufactured by ACO Polymer Products Inc.
Furnish and install a polymer channel drain with built in 0.66% slope and all fittings and
accessories. Trench drain to be complete with perforated galvanized steel grate with ¼”
holes – part # 9870-411 with locking devices , built in drain connections and catch basin at
each connection to sanitary line – part # 9860-TS with galvanized steel sediment bucket and
foul air trap end closure, shovel head part # 9853 for cleaning channel drain system.

2.05 THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVES
A. Water-Temperature Limiting Devices:
1. Manufacturer: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide product by one of
the following.
2. Basis-of-Design Product: Powers or comparable product by one of the following.
a. Acorn Safety.
b. Leonard Valve Co.
c. Watts.
d. Zurn Industries, LLC; Plumbing Products Group; Wilkins Water Control
Products.
3. Standard:
a. ASSE 1070 – Distributions System.
b. ASSE 1071 – Emergency Fixtures.
4. Pressure Rating: 125 psig.
5. Type: Thermostatically controlled, water mixing valve.
6. Material: Bronze body with corrosion-resistant interior components.
7. Connections: Threaded or union inlets and outlet.
8. Accessories: Check stops on hot- and cold-water supplies, and adjustable,
temperature-control handle.
9. Tempered-Water Setting: See Drawings.
10. Valve Finish: Rough Bronze.
