Hayes reminded them of the Propofition flie had be-
fore made of murdering Mr. Hayes, faying, There could
not be a more Jit Opportunity, than nvhen he ivas intoxi-
cated vjith Liquor; to this Wood objefted,, adding, 'twou'd
be the moft barbarous and inhuman Thing imaginable
to murder an innocent Perfon, not in coo! Blood only,
but when they had been defignedly intoxicating him.
In Anfwer to which, flie repeated the Arguments ffie ,
had before made Ufe of to Billings and himfelf, to pre-
pare them for the wicked Deed, and Billings joining
with her Perfaafions, fo influenc'd Wood, that with Tome
little Reluftancy, he feem'd willing to comply with,
their joint Intreaties.
Being all three arriv'd at the Braund%-Head2So\t^\dL,
they calPd for half a Pint of Mountain for a Tafte,.
which being brought, they agreed with the Vintner for.
7 s. per Gallon, and order'd a Gallon and half of it
to btt feat Home tc tlieir Lodgings, which was done
accordingly
