pin and Gregory, all of whom except
Wheekr the Evidence, and Turpin, are
hanging in Chains near Edgware, in Mid-
dlefex.
HAVING fonn'd themfelves into a Company
or Society, in order to put their wicked Defigns
in Execution, one or two of them \vent to die
Iloufe of Mr. Split a Chandler, at V/oodfordm Efex,
under Pretence of calling for a Dram, which whilft they
were drinking, two or three more of their Companions
came in, upon which they feized the People of the
Houfe, bound them, and fell to rifling the fame, from
whence they not only took all the Money they could
find, but Linnen, Cloaths, and every Thing elfe of
Value, which they could carry off with them, and
wanting fomething to carry oif their Plunder in, they
took a Feather Bed, cut it open, turn'd out the Fea-
thers, and packed up the Cloaths and Things in the
Ticken ;. and £nding a Sack of Flour in the Houfe, they
turned it out on the Floor, and made ufe of the Sack
for the like Purpofe, and having bound the Family,
went off with their Plunder.
Soon after which, they in the like manner enter'd
the Houfes of Mr. Eldr-idge, of Wakhamjltmjj, and of
the Revd. Mr. Dyde of Parndon in Effex, where they
bound the Families, and plunder'd the Houfes of all
they could get.
Having alfo form'd an Intention to rob Mr. Crack-
land, about five Miles beyond Thackjiead in EJfex, Rofe
and three others of his Compatyons met at the White
