tfpon this, Longmore and the others faid they would<br />

then go about it, and accordingly Longmore, &c. went<br />

immediately to Juftice Lamberfs, and acquainted him<br />

with the Difcovery they had made, defiring his War-<br />

rant to apprehend them on Sufpicion. Juftice Lambert,<br />

after having thoroughly examined the faid Parties, con-<br />

curr'd with them in their Opinion, and iffucd out a<br />

Warrant for apprehending Mrs. Hayes, Tho. Wood, Tho.<br />

Billings, and Mary Sfringate, but alfo fent for the pro-<br />

per Officers to execute the fame, and refolv'd to go him-<br />

felf with them to fee it done that Evening about Nine<br />

of the Clock.<br />

Accordingly at the Hour appointed they all met,<br />

with two Officers of the Guards, whom Eaion had in<br />

the Interim acquainted with the Affair, went to Joneses,<br />

where Hayes, Billings, and Springate lodg"'d, and Long'<br />

more leading the Campany, they went directly in at tihe<br />

Door, and going up Stairs, Jones not knowing the Oc-<br />

cafion of fo many Perfons coming into his Houfe, de-<br />

manded who, and what they were, and what they<br />

wanted ; he was foon anfwer'd, that they had fufficient<br />

Authority for what they were about, and requir'd<br />

fome Candles to be brought them, with which being<br />

fupply'd, they all went up Stairs,<br />
