This was the ufual Method I praftifed for feveral<br />

Years, without attempting any Thing farther; but I<br />

fboiiJd have mention'd that before this I forged a Note<br />

for 16/. in the Name of Mr. Kathaniel Wood Diftiller<br />

in South-ivari, with which faid Note I bought of Mr.<br />

Manning in King-ftreet, Wejiminfter, divers Cambricks,<br />

Muflins, and other Goods ; but the Forgery being foon<br />

difcovered, and myfelf found out, I was apprehended<br />

and coiBmitted to Ckrienivell-Bridenxiell, which coming<br />

to the Ears of my Wife's Relations, (for I had been<br />

marry'd fome Time to one Sarah Carwer, who liv'd in<br />

Feiur-Lane, but from a Difagreeafeleneis in our Tem-<br />

pers, we never cohabited together abore five Weeks,<br />
