he going out, I attended him along with fome others,<br />

cordingly I went, and this being what 1 wanted, told<br />

her that her Husband was gone to the Lord-Mayor's<br />

with fix Servants, whom he had engaged to go to the<br />

Indies, but that he wanted Money to pay for the bind-<br />

ing of them, and therefore he deiir'd llie would fend<br />

two Guineas for that Purpofe; the Pretence was plaufi-<br />

ble enough, and the good Lady Governefs fetch'd down<br />

the Money accordingly, and gave me, with a Requeft<br />

{hat her Hufband would make what Expedition he could,<br />

which I promifed to deliver along with the Money, and<br />

fo far comply'd with my Promife, tliat I never deliver'd<br />

the one any m0r£ than the other, but let him cool his<br />

Heels with waiting for my coming, whilft I marehed oiF<br />

in queft of new Adventures, and thereby abfolv'd him<br />

from all his fine Promifes.<br />

It was an- ufual Cuftom amongft us to leok out in<br />

the Day Time for fuch Shop or Houfe as we intended<br />

to operate upon the Night following ; and about the<br />

Clole of the Evening, or juft as the fame were lliutting<br />

op, whillt ene of us was Jbuying fome little Matter,
