They were very pleafant and merry on Shipboard,<br />

diverting themfelves as if their Circumilances had been<br />

much happier, and when they came into the River,<br />

feeing a Prefs Gang in a Boat, they called out to the<br />

Lieutenant, daring him to come and prefs them for his<br />

Majefty's Service.<br />

When they arrived at the Totver they were put into<br />

a Boat, with the Meflengers attending them, and three<br />

Boats to guard them, to wit, one on each Side, and one<br />

in the Rear, and in each Boat a Corporal and a File of<br />

Mufqueteers, who attended them all the Way up to Weft-<br />

•minfler, where being arrived, they were carried • before<br />

Mr. Juftice Chalk, and Mr. Juftice Blackerby; after<br />

which they were all tliree put into a Coach together,<br />

and were condufted by a Party of the Foot-Guards that<br />

Evening t.o Ne-ivgaie. As foon as they arrived, they<br />

had the Honour of being condufted to their old Friend<br />

Ednvard Burnnvorth, who congratulated them on their<br />

fafe Arrival, and they condoled with him on his Con-<br />

finement.<br />

On Wednefday the 30th of March, Burnnxerth, Ble-<br />

•avV, Berry and Dickenfon, were loofed from their Faft-<br />

nings in the Condemned-F-lcld, and with Legee and Hlggs<br />

were put into a Waggon, being all hand-cuffed and<br />

chain'd together therein, to be carry'd down to Kingjlon,<br />

under a Guard of the Duke of Bolton's Horfe.<br />

They were very merry when they came out of Ne-tv-i<br />

gate, charging the Guard to take Care that no Misfor-<br />

tune happen'd to them, and called upon the numerous<br />

Crowds of Speftators, both at their getting into the<br />

Waggon and afterwards, as they pafled along the Road,<br />

to fhew the Refj^eft they bore them by hallowing, and<br />

to pay them the Compliments due to Gentlemen of<br />

' their Profeffion, and called for feveral Bottles of Wine,<br />

that they might drink to their good Journey.<br />

As they pafled along the Road they endeavoured to<br />

fhew themfelves very merry and pleafant, by their fa-<br />

cetious Difcourie to the Speftators, and frequently<br />

threw Money amongft the People who followed them,<br />

diverting
