Note You cannot save an attachment to an existing document that has<br />

Notes content instead of a file attachment.<br />

Saving as a new document<br />

To save a file attachment as a new <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> document:<br />

1. Do one of the following:<br />

• (Notes) Open the document that contains the file attachment you<br />

want to save. Then click the attachment and choose Attachment -<br />

Detach to display the Save Attachment dialog box.<br />

If the document contains more than one attachment, you need to<br />

save each attachment individually. You cannot use the Detach All<br />

command or save more than one attachment at a time.<br />

• (Outlook) Select the document that contains the file attachment you<br />

want to save (or open the document in the native e-mail editor).<br />

Then choose File - Save Attachments to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> to display the<br />

Save Attachment to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box.<br />

If the document contains more than one attachment, the Save All<br />

Attachments to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box displays. Select the<br />

attachments you want and then click OK. (To close the dialog box<br />

without selecting any attachments, click Close.)<br />

2. Open the library, file room, file cabinet, and binder where you want to<br />

save the attachment.<br />

3. Do one of the following:<br />

• (Notes) In the Save Attachment dialog box, click Detach.<br />

• (Outlook) In the Save Attachment to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box, click<br />

Save.<br />

4. In the Check In dialog box, do the following:<br />

• Enter a title and optional comment.<br />

• Select a Check In option.<br />

• Click Properties and then specify the profile and security settings.<br />

• Click OK.<br />

If you are saving multiple attachments from an e-mail in Outlook, you<br />

see a separate Save Attachment to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box and a<br />

separate Check In dialog box for each attachment. If needed, you can<br />

specify a different location and check-in options for each file. Repeat<br />

steps 2 through 4 to finish saving each attachment.
