Saving as an update to an existing document<br />
To update the file attachment associated with an existing <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong><br />
document:<br />
1. Check out the document that you want to update.<br />
2. Do one of the following:<br />
• (Notes) Open the document that contains the file attachment you<br />
want to use to update the checked out document. Then click the<br />
attachment and choose Attachment - Detach to display the Save<br />
Attachment dialog box.<br />
• (Outlook) Select the document that contains the file attachment you<br />
want to use (or open the document in the native e-mail editor). Then<br />
choose File - Save Attachments to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> to display the Save<br />
Attachment to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box.<br />
If the document contains more than one attachment, the Save All<br />
Attachments to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box displays. Select the<br />
attachment you want and then click OK. (To close the dialog box<br />
without selecting any attachments, click Close.)<br />
3. Open the appropriate library, file room, file cabinet, and binder.<br />
4. Select the document that you checked out in step 1.<br />
5. Do one of the following:<br />
• (Notes) In the Save Attachment dialog box, click Detach.<br />
• (Outlook) In the Save Attachment to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box, click<br />
Save.<br />
6. In the Check In dialog box, do the following:<br />
• Select a Check In option.<br />
• If needed, click Properties and then change the profile and security<br />
settings.<br />
• If needed, enter a comment.<br />
• Click OK.<br />
If you selected multiple attachments from an e-mail in Outlook, you see<br />
a separate Save Attachment to <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> dialog box and a separate<br />
Check In dialog box for each attachment. You can use the attachments<br />
to update existing files that you checked out, or save the attachments as<br />
new documents.<br />
