Specifying document property settings<br />

If you use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel with <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong>, the<br />

following information is automatically added to the list of document<br />

properties:<br />

• Library name<br />

• <strong>Doc</strong>ument revision number<br />

• Cabinet name<br />

• Binder name<br />

• <strong>Doc</strong>ument ID<br />

For information on how to view and edit the <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> information, see<br />

“Working with <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> properties in Office documents” in Chapter 8,<br />

“Working with <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> from an Integrated Application.”<br />

Procedure<br />

To prevent <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> information from being included with other Office<br />

document properties:<br />

1. Open the <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> Desktop Administrator.<br />

The Administrator displays the current <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> settings.<br />

2. From the Settings menu, choose Preferences.<br />

The Preferences dialog box appears.<br />

3. Click the Office Fields tab in the dialog box.<br />

4. Change the appropriate setting.<br />

For example, if you do not want the <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> information above to<br />

be included with document properties when you use Word, deselect<br />

“Add <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> information to Microsoft Word documents.”<br />

5. Click OK.<br />

If you are using Internet Explorer, <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> uses your current Internet<br />

Explorer settings. Any connection settings that you change in <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong><br />

are automatically made to your Internet Explorer settings as well, and any<br />

settings you change in Internet Explorer are automatically made to the<br />

<strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> Desktop Enabler settings.<br />

<strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> supports HTTP, HTTPS, and Notes protocols.
