6. Select the type of install you want, accept or change the default drive<br />

and directory for the Desktop Enabler, and then click Next.<br />

7. Follow the remaining onscreen prompts.<br />

After you install the Desktop Enabler and restart your PC, you can use<br />

these two tools to access your <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> libraries:<br />

• a shortcut to the <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> Neighborhood on your Windows desktop<br />

• an icon for the <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> Neighborhood in the left pane of Windows<br />

Explorer<br />

Using the Desktop Administrator<br />

The Desktop Administrator lets you view current <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> settings and<br />

do the following:<br />

• Change the <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> log file settings.<br />

• Specify the integrated applications you want to use with <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong>.<br />

• Customize document property settings.<br />

• Specify proxy server connection settings.<br />

• Remove temporary files.<br />

Note If you are using <strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> on a workstation running Windows<br />

NT®, 2000, or XP, you must log in to the workstation using an<br />

Administrator ID to change some of the integrated application preferences<br />

and the HTTP server address and port.<br />

Opening the Desktop Administrator<br />

From the Windows Start menu, choose Programs - <strong>Lotus</strong> Applications -<br />

<strong>Domino</strong>.<strong>Doc</strong> Desktop Administrator.<br />

Creating a Desktop Administrator shortcut<br />

If you prefer to access the Desktop Administrator without navigating to it<br />

via the Windows Start menu, you can put a shortcut on your desktop.<br />

1. Locate ddocadmin.exe in the file system.<br />

2. Right-click on the file to display the context menu and then choose<br />

Create Shortcut.<br />

3. Drag the shortcut icon onto the desktop.<br />
