The influence of erythromycin and kinetin on the content of<br />

photosynthetic pigments in Sinapis alba L. cotyledons<br />

Summary<br />

The erythromycin inhibits the proteosynthesis in chloroplasts. This process which is<br />

conected with a decrease of photosynthetic pigments in leaves accelerates the senescence. On the<br />

other side kinetin stimulates the synthesis of chlorophyll and makes the senescence lower. The<br />

aplication of kinetin diminishes the erythromycin infuence.<br />

Our results show that the chlorophyll content calculated to the fresh mass decreased by an<br />

aplication of erythromycin. However this dependance was not the <strong>sa</strong>me for a dry mass. In the<br />

majority of observed variants kinetin assuages the influence of erythromycine. This fact confirms<br />

the increased content of photosynthetic pigments. This tendency was the most remarkable in the<br />

variant of erythromycin 10 -4 M + kinetín 10 -4 M, where the content of chlorophylls increased about<br />

43%.<br />
