Inhalt: Game Theory is the branch of social sciences, in particular, of Economics,
which studies behavior and outcomes in situations of rational strategic interaction.
Typical examples of such situations are those of oligopolistic competition, provision
of a public good, auction design, bargaining, contracting, electoral competition, etc.
This course will dene and analyze the concepts of a game and its equilibrium in
various environments, each determined by the order in which the players act and the
completeness of the information that they possess. The emphasis will be on theory;
yet, if time permits, certain applications will also be presented, as illustrations of the
use of the theoretical tools.
Literatur: The course will be completely based on my notes, electronic copies of which
will be available at my website. For the students who will be further interested in
the subject, several optional texts, at various levels, will also be suggested at the
beginning of the course.
Bemerkungen: Since this is a theory course, the ability to think in a formal manner
will be very helpful. Other than that, there will be no need for mathematical sophistication,
in particular, no need for calculus tools. In der ersten Vorlesungswoche
(KW 14) entfällt die Veranstaltung wegen der Vorstellung der Vertiefungsfächer.

Bemerkungen: Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Studenten/innen mit Interesse an
Spieltheorie. Voraussetzung ist die erfolgreiche Teilnahme an der Vorlesung Game
Theory. Einführung: Fr., 09.04.2010, 12:00, Raum I-342. Block: Fr.-Sa., 04.-
05.06.2010, 10:00-18:00, Niedersachsensaal.

Anwendungen im Bereich der Leistungsanalyse und Kapazitätsplanung,
der Lagerhaltung, der Instandhaltung und der Qualitätskontrolle.
Literatur: Zu der Veranstaltung existiert ein ausführliches Skript.
Bemerkungen: Die Veranstaltung ist zentral für alle (!) weiteren Wahlpichtfachveranstaltungen
der Produktionswirtschaft. Die sichere Beherrschung des hier vermittelten
Stoes wird daher in allen weiteren Wahlpichtfachveranstaltungen vorausgesetzt.
