nicht der Entwurf des Autonomiegesetzes, sondern die 6-Punkte-Forderung Saddams, welche die
Form eines Anhangs für den Entwurf des „Autonomiegesetzes“ annimmt, und als
„Verpflichtungen der Kurdistan-Front gegenüber dem Heimatland“ der kurdischen Delegation
präsentiert wird. Diese hat folgenden Wortlaut: 1
„Kurdistan Front’s Commitments toward the Homeland“
1. All the armed formations and militias belonging to the Kurdistan Front will be disbanded and
all their arms will be handed over to the central authorities within a month of the agreement’s
announcement.
2. (The Kurds are) to hand over to the state the radio stations owned by the Kurdistan Front
once the suspension of transmissions is announced.
3. (The Kurds are) to cease any cooperation or contacts with states inside and outside the
region. The same applies to dealings with non-Iraqi parties and their members. As for friendly
parties, the method of contacting them and establishing relations with them can be determined
through the frontal (jabhawi) action charter to be agreed.
4. Iraq has suffered, and still suffers, serious threats to its national and strategic security – first
and foremost, the Zionist-imperialist threat and the regime in Iran. In order for the national
response to these threats to be at the required level, the Kurdistan Front will be committed to the
plans and measures taken by the Iraqi state to achieve this noble national objective, whether
through the military fighting method or the nationalist political struggle. It will also be
committed to developing the masses’ awareness with regard to love for the homeland and
readiness to defend it until martyrdom.
5. (The Kurds will support the Ba’th Party) in order to control the artificial religious or
nationalistic political groups that threaten Iraq’s strategic security because of their links with
foreign forces.
6. The Kurdistan Front (will) be fully committed to implementing a central national programme
drawn up by the Ba’th party and the Kurdish Front and designed to spread correct national
awareness and to create a spirit of discipline, commitment, and respect for the laws and
regulations issued by the state and its organs.“
Auf einer Zusammenkunft in ihrem Hauptquartier in Shaqlawe erklärt die Kurdistan-Front die
Forderungen Saddams für „inakzeptabel“. Man verlangt von der Kurdistan-Front: ihre Waffen
einfach niederzulegen, ihre Beziehungen mit der Außenwelt bzw. mit ihren „Schutzmächten“
sofort abzubrechen, die aggressive Politik Saddams gegenüber den Ländern der Region unter
