Porting PROFIsafe to the application<br />

Safe position detection is based on three signals:<br />

■ Coarse position<br />

■ Redundant inverted coarse position<br />

Fail-safe principles: Two channels and diversity<br />

■ CRC via the redundant coarse position<br />

Plausibility check<br />

Before these safe signals can be transferred from the<br />

SIMOTION controller to the F-CPU, you have to port the<br />

PROFIsafe profile to the relevant application.<br />

This is why the error detection measures are ported from<br />

PROFIsafe to the communication between the SIMOTION controller<br />

and the F-CPU.<br />
