Hovar, Kathleen “Katie” Alice (Henschel) was born July 27, 1927 in Dubuque, Iowa<br />

and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Emil George and Elizabeth Armenia (Russ) Henschel. She<br />

graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1945. She married Frank Edward Hovar on<br />

May 14, 1947 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and six children were born to this union: Nancy Ann (Hovar)<br />

Warner, Linda Susan (Hovar) Searcy, Frank Edward “Butchie” Hovar, Becky Marie<br />

(Hovar) Jackson, Julie Kay (Hovar) Stacy, and Michael David Hovar. Katie lived in<br />

Roscoe, Illinois for many years. She died February 11, 2010 and is buried in Sunset<br />

Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, Illinois.<br />

Hoxie, Evelyn Madeline (Harkness) was born January 30, 1929 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Lee Bawden and Florence Madeline (Wadleigh) Harkness. She attended<br />

school in <strong>Hanover</strong>. Evelyn married Richard T. Hoxie on January 22, 1955 in Rochelle,<br />

Illinois and two children were born to this union: Dana (Hoxie) Weide and Robert<br />

Hoxie. Evelyn worked for Shell Gas/Feeney Oil in Morton, Illinois as a manager and<br />

later moved to the deli department. She later worked at Citgo in Morton until her<br />

retirement in 1997. Evelyn died August 20, 2010; she was cremated and buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Hoxie, Richard T. was born May 25, 1924 in Rockford, Illinois and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Frank E. and Hannah W. Hoxie. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Army Veteran and<br />

received a Purple Heart. He married Evelyn Madeline Harkness on January 22, 1955 in<br />

Rochelle, Illinois and two children were born to this union: Dana (Hoxie) Weide and<br />

Robert Hoxie. The family lived in Morton, Illinois for many years. Richard died June<br />

14, 2005 in Morton; he was cremated and buried in Evergreen Cemetery on October 1,<br />

2005.<br />

Huckstep, Donna Jean (Suck) was born October 13, 1937 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Harold A. and Florence Marie (Sanderson) Suck. Her early years were<br />

spent in <strong>Hanover</strong>. She graduated from Macomb High School in 1960. Donna married<br />

Gary G. Huckstep on May 14, 1960 in Quincy and two children were born to this union:<br />

Gary Scott Huckstep and Michelle (Huckstep) Pullam. She had worked for Niemann<br />

Foods Inc. for a time and operated Donna’s Day Care in Quincy for more than 30 years.<br />

Her husband Gary died March 14, 2001 and Donna died May 8, 2010. They are both<br />

buried in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy.<br />

Hudson, Eugene “Gene” G. was born in 1906 in Wisconsin and was the son <strong>of</strong> Eugene<br />

Nail and Alida Aaltja (Hoogerhuis) Hudson. His family moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> when he was<br />

and infant. Gene graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1924. He was married to<br />

Emma L. Hudson and two known children were born to this union: Jone M Hudson and<br />

Otis C. Hudson. The family lived in Toledo, Ohio for many years.<br />

Huff, Clara Lillian (McAllister) was born May 28, 1876 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Anthony and Sarah (Sanderson) McAllister. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

High School in 1893. Clara taught school for a number <strong>of</strong> years. Clara married Roy<br />

Huff on July 24, 1904 and four children were born to this union: Alice Loren Huff,<br />

Sarah Huff, Martha Huff, and one other child. The family lived in Keeler, Michigan for<br />

many years. Clara died March 5, 1942 Keeler and is buried in Keeler Cemetery in Cass<br />

County, Michigan.<br />

Humphrey, Marcella “Marcie” M. (Thulion) was born February 23, 1958 in Sterling,<br />
