Ertmer, Edward John was born April 29, 1911 in Derinda Township, Jo Daviess<br />

County and was the son <strong>of</strong> Joseph and Josephine (Banwarth) Ertmer. He married<br />

Dorothy Lucile Musselman on September 14, 1938 in Elizabeth and one son was born to<br />

this union: Lyle Edward Ertmer. They farmed for a number <strong>of</strong> years in the <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

area and he later retired from Eaton Corporation in 1980 where he had worked in the<br />

shipping department. Edward died August 27, 1987 and is buried in Evergreen<br />

Cemetery.<br />

Ertmer, Mary Kathleen (Shetler) was born May 1, 1943 in Dubuque, Iowa and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Lester and Frances (McCann) Shetler. She married Lyle Ertmer on<br />

August 27, 1966 in Dubuque and two sons were born to this union: Shawn Patrick<br />

Ertmer, Arron Joseph Ertmer, and Shelley Marie Ertmer, who was born June 30, 1970<br />

and died <strong>of</strong> SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) on January 5, 1971. She was<br />

employed at Eaton Corporation in <strong>Hanover</strong> for five years. Mary died January 27, 1990<br />

and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Exelby, Margaret Bertha (Robinson) was born October 24, 1874 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> George and Margaret (Funston) Robinson. She graduated from<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1892. Bertha married Elmer Wesley Exelby on July 10, 1902<br />

in Livingston, Michigan and two children were born to this union: Allura Exelby and<br />

Ellwyn Robert Exelby. The family lived in Michigan for many years. Her husband<br />

Elmer was born in 1875 and died in 1943. Bertha died January 30, 1926.<br />

Fahrbach, Frederic “Fred” A. was born March 12, 1908 near <strong>Grant</strong>ville, Kansas and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Carl G. and Lena M. (Vessart) Fahrbach. He married Laura M. Ginn on<br />

November 22, 1930 in Chicago. She died August 26, 1980. He was employed by<br />

Acadia Feed Mills, Chicago Pump Company and St. Luke’s Presbyterian Hospital<br />

before retiring in 1980. The couple lived in Chicago for many years. Fred was living in<br />

Abilene, Kansas when he died on February 9, 1994. He is buried in <strong>Hanover</strong>’s<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Fahrbach, Laura M. (Ginn) was born August 28, 1898 and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> James<br />

E. and Mary Francis (May) Ginn. She was married to Frederic “Fred” A. Fahrbach on<br />

November 22, 1930 in Chicago. The couple lived in Chicago for a number <strong>of</strong> years.<br />

Laura died in Abilene, Kansas on August 26, 1980 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery,<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong>.<br />

Fahrig, Clara C. (Barnes) was born May 12, 1896 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong><br />

John and Margaret (Young) Barnes. She married George Herman Fahrig and they were<br />

in the grocery business in Rockford for many years. George died in 1972. Clara died<br />

on October 17, 1983 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena.<br />

Falancer, Mary Emma (Lyden) was born June 24, 1915 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> James P. and Clara (Petitgout) Lyden. She married Kenneth Falancer on<br />

October 27, 1938 in Galena and two children were born to this union: James Falancer<br />

and Donna (Falancer) Morhardt. Mary was employed at Shady’s Market and Leo’s<br />

Super Value in Galena for many years before her retirement. Kenneth died August 12,<br />

1998 and Mary died June 20, 1995. They are both buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery,<br />

Galena.<br />

Farrell, Janice “Jan” May (Mussmann) was born May 6, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa and<br />

was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Francis Raymond and Norma Irene (Dusenberry) Mussmann. She<br />

graduated from Clinton High School. Jan married Terry James Farrell on July 3, 1970<br />
