Norman “Butch” Junior Klemme, Lyle Junior Klemme, and Richard Vincent Klemme.<br />

They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years before moving to Hales Corner, Wisconsin and<br />

later to Muskego, Wisconsin. Clarence was a construction painter all his life. Clarence<br />

died July 23, 1991 in Muskego and cremation rites were accorded.<br />

Klemme, Leuellen Mae (Girot) Buege was born December 21, 1929 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and<br />

was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Vincent Joseph and Margaret Ann (Haas) Girot. She married<br />

Ferdinand “Junior” Buege May 31, 1947 and one daughter was born to this union:<br />

Roxanna (Buege) Hood. After the death <strong>of</strong> her husband Ferdinand on May 27, 1952 she<br />

married Clarence Junior Klemme on October 12, 1952 and three sons were born to this<br />

union: Norman “Butch” Junior Klemme, Lyle Junior Klemme, and Richard Vincent<br />

Klemme. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years before moving to Hales Corner,<br />

Wisconsin and later to Muskego, Wisconsin. Leuellen was a mail carrier in Muskego<br />

for more than 35 years before she retired. She died November 16, 2002 in Muskego and<br />

is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Klepack, Joseph Francis “Smokey” was born May 20, 1917 in Jo Daviess County and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Stephen and Hazel (Keenen) Klepack. He married Mary Zubler on<br />

November 24, 1956 in <strong>Hanover</strong>. He was employed at the Savanna Army Deport for 14<br />

years before his retirement. Smokey died ten days after the death <strong>of</strong> wife, as the result<br />

<strong>of</strong> an auto accident. He died on September 14, 1982 and is buried in Evergreen<br />

Cemetery.<br />

Klepack, Mary (Zubler) was born March 3, 1920 in Benton, Wisconsin and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Gottfield R. and Margaret Mae (Atkinson) Zubler. She married Joseph<br />

Francis “Smokey” Klepack on November 24, 1956 in <strong>Hanover</strong>. She later lived in<br />

Elizabeth. Mary died September 4, 1982 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Klingler, Bessie Mae (Miller) was born March 14, 1879 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> George W. and Maria Emily (Williams) Miller. She graduated from<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1897 and attended Tarkio College in Missouri. She married<br />

George <strong>Grant</strong> Klingler and one known daughter was born to this union: Bessie M.<br />

Klingler. The family lived in Savanna for a few years and in the late 1920s moved to<br />

California. George died August 7, 1940 in Los Angeles and Bessie died November 15,<br />

1967 in Lynnwood, California.<br />

Klippert, Ross Spencer was born May 26, 1917 in Galilee, Saskatchewan, Canada and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Spencer Franklin and Emma Mary Ellen (Garner) Klippert. He moved to<br />

the United States in 1939 and returned to Canada in 1941 to join the Royal Canadian Air<br />

Force, in which he served until 1946. Ross married Rose Marie MacGillivrey on<br />

February 4, 1944 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada and three children were born to<br />

this union: Michael “Mike” Spencer Klippert, Timothy “Tim” Stephen Klippert, and<br />

Darlene Mary Lynn (Klippert) Murphy. They moved to northern Illinois in 1946 and<br />

lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> until 1957 when they moved to Savanna. Ross worked for Savanna<br />

Fabricators and the Eaton Corporation, retiring in 1982. Ross died December 8, 2002<br />

and is buried in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Savanna.<br />

Klopf, Edward “Ed” Lloyd was born June 18, 1926 in Freeport, Illinois and was the<br />

son <strong>of</strong> Edward Lloyd and Emma Margaret (Cubbon) Klopf Sr. He graduated from<br />

Elizabeth High School in 1944. Ed married Rebecca Jane Kilpatrick on September 14,<br />

1946 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and one son was born to this union: Gregory “Greg” D. Klopf. Ed<br />

farmed north <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hanover</strong> until he retired in 1985, and he served on the Jo Daviess<br />
