Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Hackett, Lonnie Dean was born December 26, 1950 in Savanna, Illinois and was the<br />
son <strong>of</strong> Shirley Hackett. His grandparents, James Ray and Blanche Hackett, raised him.<br />
He graduated from Savanna High School in 1969, from Western Illinois University in<br />
1977, and from Southern University in 1979. Lonnie was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran<br />
who received the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He married Brenda Meyer in 1982<br />
in Savanna and this union gave him two stepchildren: Nathan Kromer and Brandie<br />
Ottens and he also had one daughter: Rachel Gendreau. Lonnie lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> and<br />
was employed by the Village <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hanover</strong> as a <strong>Was</strong>te Water Treatment Technician for<br />
ten years. He later moved to Sabula, Iowa. Lonnie died June 5, 2003 and cremation<br />
rites were accorded.<br />
Hager, Eunice Blanche (Armstrong) was born June 1, 1909 near Blanding, Jo Daviess<br />
County and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John William and Emily (Burke) Armstrong. She<br />
married Harry Hager February 7,1959 in Galena and no children were born to this<br />
union. Eunice worked at the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill, was a telephone operator in<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> and Elizabeth and as a waitress at the restaurant at the Chicago-Burlington-<br />
Quincy Railroad Station in Savanna. Eunice died February 15, 1981 and is buried in<br />
Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Hager, Harry K. was born November 12, 1913 in Belle Rive, Illinois and was the son<br />
<strong>of</strong> John J. and Alice (Wall) Hager. He grew up and attended grammar school in North<br />
Liberty, Iowa and went to High School in Iowa City. Harry was a U.S. Army World<br />
War <strong>II</strong> Veteran. He married Eunice Blanche Armstrong February 7, 1959 in Galena and<br />
no children were born to this union. Harry owned and operated Hager’s Saw Shop in<br />
Dubuque until his retirement in the late 1970s and later moved to <strong>Hanover</strong>. Harry lost<br />
his vision and attended the Blind School in Chicago, which gave him the freedom to live<br />
on his own and to take care <strong>of</strong> himself after his wife died. Harry died March 6, 2008<br />
and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Haggerty, Jerri Lynn (Kolb) was born April 2, 1955 in Savanna, Illinois and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Max John and Marie Louise (Bunders) Kolb. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
High School in 1973. Jerri married Gary Lee Haggerty on June 7, 1975 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and<br />
two sons were born to this union: Brandon James Haggerty and Zachary Lee Haggerty.<br />
She worked at the Savanna Army Depot as a position classification specialist from 1973<br />
until her death. Jerri died January 8, 1993 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Haggerty, Lloyd Wesley was born August 2, 1927 in Lomax, Illinois and was the son<br />
<strong>of</strong> James Walter and Mildred Hannah (Gamble) Haggerty. His family moved to rural<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> in 1930. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Army Veteran and also served in the<br />
Illinois National Guard. He married Betty (Tanner) Drosopoulos on August 11, 1961 in<br />
Savanna. Six children were in this family: Vicki Fargo, Penni Jo Friedenbach, Linda<br />
Marie Wagenknecht, Samuel Drosopoulos, Daniel Drosopoulos, and Craig Haggerty.<br />
Lloyd lived in Savanna for many years and was an equipment operator at the Savanna<br />
Army Depot for 43 years, retiring in 1987. He died November 30, 1996 at his winter<br />
home in Yuma, Arizona and is buried in Savanna Township Cemetery.<br />
Haile, Emma (Kinsall) was born January 1, 1906 in Eldorado, Illinois. She married<br />
Oval L. Haile in 1925 and two children were born to this union: David Haile and Betty<br />
(Haile) Reber. Emma taught second grade in <strong>Hanover</strong> from 1948 until 1960. They<br />
moved to Rockford, Illinois in 1965. Emma died July 30, 1999 in Appleton, Wisconsin.<br />
