was donated to science.<br />
Kammer, Blanche Marcella “Tot” (Potter) was born May 21, 1924 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and<br />
was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John Carl and Blanche Manilla (Shaw) Potter. She married Russell<br />
Henry Kammer on April 24, 1944 in Clinton, Iowa and one daughter was born to this<br />
union: Karen Kay (Kammer) Felly. The family owned and operated The Kamm Ann<br />
Inn Bowl in Verona, Wisconsin from 1969 until 1994. Russell died February 12, 1993<br />
and Tot died July 29, 1983 and they are both buried in Sunset Memoral Gardens,<br />
Madison, Wisconsin.<br />
Kampmeier, Kenneth “Ken” Fred was born May 5, 1926 in Freeport, Illinois and was<br />
the son <strong>of</strong> Fred and Alma Otillia (Wenger) Kampmeier. He married Phyllis Jeanne<br />
Petitgout on July 15, 1949 and three children were born to this union: Michael Kenneth<br />
Kampmeier, Patty Jeanne (Kampmeier) Gothard, and Mary Anne Kampmeier. They<br />
lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years before moving to Warren, where he farmed and<br />
later worked for Brown Trucking. Ken died November 12, 1986 following a farm<br />
accident. His body was donated to science.<br />
Kane, Frana “Fran” Anna (Meier) Sevey was born January 12, 1911 in Little Port,<br />
Iowa and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John August and Minnie Mary (Kafer) Meier. She<br />
married Clyde John Sevey on February 4, 1931 in Elkader, Iowa and nine children were<br />
born to this union: Donald Clyde Sevey, Joyce Ann (Sevey) Bedinger, Dean “Woody”<br />
Douglas Sevey, Joan LaVon (Sevey) Peterson, Duane Lee Sevey, Paul Alan Sevey, died<br />
when he was nine months old, Judy Aleen (Sevey) Kennedy, Jean Ellen Sevey, and<br />
Janice Annette (Sevey) Hamill. Fran and Clyde operated the Mill City Tap in <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
from the early 1950s until Clyde was killed in a car accident on November 28, 1964.<br />
Fran closed down the bar for a short time and later re-opened it and operated it until<br />
May 1967. Fran married Marvin Kane on May 18, 1971 in Maquoketa, Iowa and they<br />
lived in <strong>Hanover</strong>. Fran died July 21, 1981 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Kaufman, Leslie Charles was born November 5, 1913 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Charles Alvin and Sadie Ellen (Wells) Kaufman. He married Mary Stump on August<br />
31, 1939 in Galena and six children were born to this union: Shirley Ann Kaufman who<br />
was born October 25, 1940 and died May 25, 1941, Dale Edward Kaufman, Larry<br />
Charles Kaufman, Joanne Marie (Kaufman) Moritz, William “Bill” James Kaufman,<br />
and Rosemary Ann (Kaufman) Geller. He farmed in the <strong>Hanover</strong> and Galena area for<br />
over 40 years before he retired in 1982 and moved to the city <strong>of</strong> Galena. Leslie died<br />
November 25, 2004 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Kaufman, Mary (Taylor) was born May 18, 1911 in Chadwick, Illinois and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> William and Lola Taylor. She married Oral George Kaufman in November<br />
1949 in Kansas City, Missouri and this union gave her two stepdaughters: Carol Joyce<br />
(Kaufman) Borgstedt and Norma Jean (Kaufman) Ferguson. Mary retired from the<br />
Savanna Army Depot. She died March 19, 1986 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Kaufman, Mary Margaret (Stump) was born August 30, 1915 in Galena, Illinois and<br />
was the daughter <strong>of</strong> William Augustine and Mary Burnadette (Collins) Stump. Mary<br />
graduated from Galena High School and went on to graduate from Northern Illinois<br />
University, DeKalb. She married Leslie Charles Kaufman on August 31, 1939 in<br />
Galena and six children were born to this union: Shirley Ann Kaufman who was born<br />
October 25, 1940 and died May 25, 1941, Dale Edward Kaufman, Larry Charles<br />
