Marvin married Gloria Mason on May 20, 1950 in Canton, Missouri and one daughter<br />
was born to this union: Yvonne Marie (Schreck) Hill. They later divorced and Marvin<br />
married Louise Fielding on May 29, 1966 in Aledo, Illinois and six children were born<br />
to this union: Tim Schreck, Jon Schreck, Devon Schreck, Kelly Schreck, Angela<br />
Schreck, and Dawn Schreck. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran and lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for<br />
a time. He retired from the Savanna Army Depot. Marvin died August 21, 1981 in<br />
Wisconsin and is buried in Woodbine Cemetery.<br />
Schreck, Raymond J. was born October 13, 1917 in Elizabeth, Illinois and was the son<br />
<strong>of</strong> Louis and Anna E. (Goldhagen) Schreck. He lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> in the 1950s and later<br />
moved to Elizabeth, then Reedsburg, Wisconsin and then in 1969 to Lake Delton,<br />
Wisconsin. He had three children: Richard Schreck, Nila (Schreck) Randles, and Lilah<br />
(Schreck) Hardin. Raymond was a mechanic for many years, retiring in 1986.<br />
Raymond died November 28, 2003; he was cremated and buried in St. Mary’s Catholic<br />
Church Cemetery, Elizabeth.<br />
Schreiner, Virginia Elizabeth (Foster) was born January 28, 1916 and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Alfred D. and Leone E. Foster. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School<br />
in 1933 and from the University <strong>of</strong> Illinois in 1937. Virginia did graduate work at<br />
Garrett Biblical Institute, Northern Illinois University, Concordia, and the National<br />
College <strong>of</strong> Education. Virginia married the Reverend George William Schreiner and<br />
four children were born to this union: Sarah (Schreiner) Benson, Deborah (Schreiner)<br />
Nesbitt, Susan Elizabeth Schreiner, and Rebecca Leone Schreiner. Virginia taught<br />
school at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois for many years. The family lived in<br />
Oak Park, Evanston, and Evergreen Park, Illinois. George died in March 1996 and<br />
Virginia died June 2, 2010.<br />
Schuller, Francis “Red” Eugene was born October 1, 1921 in Edgemont, South<br />
Dakota and was the son <strong>of</strong> Fred Peter and Rose Emma (Hudson) Schuller. He graduated<br />
from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1939. Red married Elizabeth Caroline Kilian on June 7,<br />
1941 in Galena and two children were born to this union: Gary Schuller and Martha<br />
“Marty” (Schuller) Cuplin-Rios. Red and his wife farmed for 20 years in the Scales<br />
Mound, Apple River, Schapville, and Nora area. He owned and operated the Farmers<br />
Inn in Warren from 1971 until 1991. Elizabeth was born July 8, 1923 and died July 6,<br />
2004. Red died June 28, 2001 and they are both buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery,<br />
Galena.<br />
Schuster, Otto Emil was born December 7, 1912 in Deer Creek, Wisconsin and was the<br />
son <strong>of</strong> Otto and Anna Schuster. He married Mary Ellen Pannell and one daughter was<br />
born to this union: Jeane Carol (Schuster) Smith. Otto worked at the Savanna Army<br />
Depot from 1941 until 1972. Shortly after retiring they moved to Wisconsin for a few<br />
years then moved to Osprey, Florida. Otto died August 24, 2002; he was cremated and<br />
his ashes were buried in the Lutheran Church Memorial Gardens in Sarasota, Florida.<br />
Schwirtz, Erma LeClaire (Beeler) was born December 31, 1913 in Bellevue, Iowa and<br />
was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Henry Albert and Anna Amanda (Kuhlman) Beeler. She married<br />
John “Jack” Nicholas Schwirtz on December 26, 1936 in Maquoketa, Iowa and three<br />
children were born to this union: Henry John Schwirtz, Anne Helen (Schwirtz)<br />
Sullivan, and Frank Nicholas Schwirtz. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a time before moving<br />
to Elizabeth. Erma died May 25, 1986 and is buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery,<br />
Elizabeth.
