High School in 1929 and later from Brown’s Business College. Kathryn married Joseph<br />

Paul Fosha on May 9, 1935 in Bloomington, Illinois and three children were born to this<br />

union: Joseph “Joe” Fosha, Joan Schroeder, and Karen Elmos. Kathryn was the<br />

secretary for the Rockford Board <strong>of</strong> Education for nine years and was a supervisor for<br />

clerical services for 18 years before she retired in 1976. The family lived in Rockford<br />

for many years. Joseph died January 25, 1984 and Kathryn died April 5, 2008 and they<br />

are both buried in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.<br />

Fossen, LuVern Oluf was born October 7, 1913 in Max, North Dakota and was the son<br />

<strong>of</strong> Ole and Bertha J. Fossen. He married Violet Peter on October 9, 1943 and two sons<br />

were born to this union: Marlowe Fossen and Wayne Lee Fossen, who died as an infant<br />

on June 2, 1952. The family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> in the 1950s. LuVern worked at the<br />

Savanna Ordinance Depot until the end <strong>of</strong> the Korean War. The family later moved to<br />

Fresno, California. LuVern died March 13, 1985 in Fresno.<br />

Foster, Berneice (Sanderson) was born February 1, 1917 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Elmer Ellsworth and Catherine (Fitzpatrick) Sanderson. She married Vern<br />

Francis Foster on July 25, 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa and two daughters were born to this<br />

union: Ramona B. (Foster) Noble and Laverne (Foster) Adams. Berneice worked as a<br />

secretary for Rath Packing Company, was a prep cook for carpenters, and was a senior<br />

companion. Her husband Vern died October 4, 1966 and Berneice died September 15,<br />

2007; they are both buried in Garden Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.<br />

Foster, Evelyn Gertrude (Konsella) was born August 13, 1915 in Stanley, Wisconsin<br />

and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Frank John and Helen (Steigen) Konsella. She married John<br />

Fernando Foster on June 2, 1941 in Missouri and three children were born to this union:<br />

Sondra Kay (Foster) Unangst, Marsha Lynn (Foster) Fritz, and John Tommy Foster.<br />

The family moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> shortly after World War <strong>II</strong>. Evelyn was employed as a<br />

line worker at the Eaton Corporation Plant in <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years. Evelyn died<br />

December 10, 1992 and cremation rites were accorded.<br />

Foster, John “Jock” Fernando was born August 17, 1908 in Jacksonville, Illinois and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Fernando Andrew and Charollete “Anna” (Rogers) Foster. He married<br />

Evelyn Gertrude Konsella on June 2, 1941 in Missouri and three children were born to<br />

this union: Sondra Kay (Foster) Unangst, Marsha Lynn (Foster) Fritz, and John Tommy<br />

Foster. The family moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> shortly after World War <strong>II</strong> and Jock worked for<br />

Zeal’s Garage for many years. Jock later moved to Galien, Michigan. Jock died<br />

January 23, 1991; he was cremated and buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Fouts, Katheryn “Katie” E. (Arthur) Schlosser Rhodes was born August 7, 1909 in<br />

Wayland, Missouri and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John Henry and Alice May (Rooney)<br />

Arthur. She married Mervin Schlosser and five children were born to this union: Jack<br />

Schlosser being one <strong>of</strong> the children. Katie larter married George Rhodes and James<br />

Fouts. Katie worked as a nurse and also cared for the elderly. She lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for<br />

a time and later moved to Mount Carroll. Katie died June 15, 2002 in Morrison, Illinois.<br />

Fox, Pearl Elizabeth (Moorehead) was born December 15, 1915 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Archibald “Archie” and Edna Eleanor (Smith) Moorehead. She<br />

graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1934. She married Donald Francis Fox on<br />

April 10, 1937 in Elizabeth and five children were born to this union: Jerry L. Fox,<br />

Joanne M. (Fox) Simmons, James Fox, Kathleen A. (Fox) Vondracek, Deborah S. (Fox)<br />

Smith. They farmed for a time after they were married, and later moved to Maryland in<br />
