Cronwell, Bernard Johannes was born August 18, 1898 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Bernard “Barney” Justin and Louise Caroline (Schaper) Cronwell. He graduated from<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1918. Bernard was a doctor and he and his wife Alice M.<br />

Cronwell lived in Austin, Minnesota for many years. Dr. Cronwell died November 20,<br />

1991 in Rochester, Minnesota.<br />

Cronwell, Sven Sidney was born in about 1903 and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Bernard<br />

“Barney” Justin and Louise Caroline (Schaper) Cronwell. She graduated from<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1921 and attended the University <strong>of</strong> Illinois.<br />

Cruz, Elizabeth Ann was born December 1, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Tomas and Robin (Burgin) Cruz. Elizabeth lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a time. She<br />

died May 24, 2004 and she is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Culhane, Thomas Edward was born November 6, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Thomas Edward and Helen Marietta (Brundage) Culhane Sr. He served in the<br />

U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1958 until 1964. He lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years<br />

before he died on January 17, 2009. Thomas is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key<br />

West, Iowa.<br />

Cullen, Barbara “Barb” Marie (Linker) was born June 20, 1921 in Cabarrus County,<br />

North Carolina and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> James Adam and Samantha Medicious<br />

(Hathcock) Linker. She married Charles James Cullen and two children were born to<br />

this union: Linda Marie (Cullen) Battenberg and Carl William Cullen. The family<br />

moved around a great deal beings her husband was in the U.S. military. They lived in<br />

Germany for about three years before moving to Nebraska for a few months, then in<br />

1962 moved to <strong>Hanover</strong>. In 1984 Barb and Charles moved to Seminole, Florida. Barb<br />

died August 8, 1990 in Seminole and is buried in Florida.<br />

Cunningham, Raymond J. was born May 9, 1936. Dr. Cunningham married Miss<br />

Harberer on June 3, 1965 in River Forest, Illinois. He practiced medicine in <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

for several months during 1979-80. He died in Arlington Heights, Illinois on March 8,<br />

1981.<br />

Curley, Floyd Raymond was born September 22, 1919 in Thomson, Illinois and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Clifford Guy and Mamie (Miller) Curley. He married Shirley Elizabeth<br />

Jackson and they had two children: Leroy Edward Curley and Judith Ann (Curley)<br />

Law. He later married Marcella Dreier on January 4, 1964 in Savanna. In his early<br />

years Floyd lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was a baseball pitcher for many local teams. He had<br />

his own band for many years and recorded music in Nashville at one time. For more<br />

than 30 years he was employed by Freeport Blacktop company. He also worked at the<br />

Savanna Army Depot and the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill. Floyd died November 28, 1991<br />

and is buried in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna.<br />

Curran, Paul Joseph was born February 13, 1924 in New Diggings, Wisconsin and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> James Elmer and Mary Isabelle (O’Neill) Curran. He married Viola<br />

Geneva Yackey on September 27, 1954 in Shullsburg, Wisconsin and four children were<br />

born to this union: Pauline (Curran) Otting, Christine (Curran) Beyer, Mary Ellen<br />

(Curran) Lyne, and James E. Curran. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a time before moving<br />

to Scales Mound. Paul was employed at Ed’s Auto Sales for many years and then at the<br />
