Illinois and was the daughter of LaVerne and Betty Jane (Newton) Thulion. She
attended school in Hanover. Marcie married Joseph Humphrey on August 27, 1982 and
four daughters were born to this union: Michelle Humphrey, Terri (Humphrey)
Holland, Theresa (Humphrey) Rucobo, and Amanda Humphrey. Marcie had lived in
Savanna for many years. She died September 11, 2009 and is buried in Savanna
Township Cemetery.
Hunt, Donald Earl was born February 17, 1924 in Hanover and was the son of Hiram
Simpson and Mary Magdalyn (Whalen) Hunt. He graduated from Hanover High School
in 1942. He was a World War II and Korean War Veteran. He married Joan Janet
Jagielski on June 29, 1950 and two daughters were born to this union: Mary Jo (Hunt)
Speer and Donna Marie (Hunt) Richmond. Donald worked at the Savanna Army for 32
years, retiring in 1975. He served on the Hanover School Board for a number of years
and was also mayor of Hanover from 1977 until 1985. Donald died August 15, 1989
and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
Hunt, Florence L. (Williams) Reed was born February 19, 1891 in Elizabeth, Illinois
and was the daughter of Fred T. and Mary A. (Finicle) Williams. She married Delmar
James Reed and one son was born to this union: Delmar James Reed. Her husband
Delmar died in 1917 before her son was born. She married Orrin Glen Hunt in 1923 and
two daughters were born to this union: Marilyn Reola Hunt and Norma Jean Hunt. The
family lived in Hanover for many years and later moved to Arizona. Florence died in
July 1986 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Hunt, Geneva Elizabeth (Mest) was born March 2, 1910 in Elizabeth, Illinois and was
the daughter of Henry and Florence (Hitt) Mest. She graduated from Hanover High
School in 1928. Geneva married Ordrey Benson Hunt on February 4, 1929 in Dubuque
and one son was born to this union: Ramon Arnett Hunt. She worked as a clerk during
the 1940s and 50s for Bray’s Grocery Store and later Graham’s Grocery Store, both in
Hanover. Geneva died November 26, 2008 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
Hunt, Margaret “Marg” Adell (Reichwein) was born January 12, 1915 in Bellevue,
Iowa and was the daughter of Ernest Christopher and Christina (Yeager) Reichwein.
She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1933. She married Arthur “Tink” Rayden
Hunt on December 11, 1945 and one daughter was born to this union: Karen Ann Hunt.
Marg retired from the Savanna Army Depot after working there 22 years. Marg died
September 5, 1985; she was cremated and buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
Hunt, Marilyn Reola was born July 22, 1925 in Hanover and was the daughter of Orrin
Glen and Florence L. (Williams) Hunt. She attended school in Hanover. Marilyn lived
in Colorado for many years. Marilyn died October 1, 1996.
Hunt, Mary “Mollie” Eda (Francke) was born September 20, 1916 in Hanover and
was the daughter of Albert Charles and Bessie Emeline (Bain) Francke. She graduated
from Hanover High School in 1934. Mollie married Eugene William Hunt on August 4,
1935 in Dixon and five children were born to this union: Mary Jean (Hunt) Stegman,
Donald “Bud” William Hunt, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Hunt) Farrey, Lawrence Lee Hunt,
and Dale Eugene Hunt. Eugene worked at the Savanna Army Depot for a few years and
later transferred to the Joliet Arsenal, with the family living in New Lenox. After
Eugene’s retirement they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. After Eugene’s death
on May 5, 1991, Mollie moved to Lady Lake, Florida for a few years, then to Georgia,
and in 1995 she moved to Elizabeth. Mollie died August 3, 2006 and is buried next to
