Reifsteck, Ora Hazel (Limage) was born May 7, 1892 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Edward and Jennie (Strong) Limage. She married Otto Christian Reifsteck<br />
on March 19, 1913 in Dubuque, Iowa and seven children were born to this union: Clyde<br />
Limage Reifsteck, Phyllis Virginia (Reifsteck) Miller, David Richard Reifsteck, Donald<br />
Arthur Reifsteck, Edward Otto Reifsteck, Betty Louisa (Reifsteck) Young Hazer, and<br />
Carl Alden Reifsteck. Ora died September 21, 1980 and is buried in Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Reifsteck, Otto Christian was born December 17, 1893 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Christian and Anna Louise (Hildebrand) Reifsteck. He married Ora Hazel Limage on<br />
March 19, 1913 in Dubuque, Iowa and seven children were born to this union: Clyde<br />
Limage Reifsteck, Phyllis Virginia (Reifsteck) Miller, David Richard Reifsteck, Donald<br />
Arthur Reifsteck, Edward Otto Reifsteck, Betty Louisa (Reifsteck) Young Hazer, and<br />
Carl Alden Reifsteck. Otto was employed as a clerk in the license department for the<br />
state <strong>of</strong> Illinois before his retirement. Otto died August 27, 1985 and is buried in<br />
Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Reifsteck, Rosemary (Benzel) Line was born December 24, 1903 in Chicago, Illinois<br />
and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> August John and Rose Benzel. Rosemary had three children:<br />
Ione Hawks (Line) Mangan, Rial Line, and Phyllis (Line) Norman. She worked at the<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> Eaton Corporation before her retirement. Rosemary died November 28, 1988<br />
in Frederick, Maryland and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Reitz, Donald Stephen was born February 8, 1921 in Rodden, Elizabeth Township, Jo<br />
Daviess County and was the son <strong>of</strong> Stephen and Suzanne (Chapier) Reitz. He lived in<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> for many years. Donald died May 11, 1983 and is buried in Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Reitz, Earl Louis was born April 20, 1907 in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> George<br />
and Abbie Ellen (Lisk) Reitz. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1925. He<br />
married Lucille F. Dehner on December 31, 1931 in Jackson, Missouri. Earl lived in<br />
Shawnee Mission, Kansas for a number <strong>of</strong> years. Earl died February 1, 1993.<br />
Reitz, Edmund Peter was born July 15, 1913 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Peter and<br />
Della E. (Gilbert) Reitz. He went to school in rural <strong>Hanover</strong>. Edmund was a World<br />
War <strong>II</strong> veteran. He married Dorothy E. Hartwig on October 20, 1936 in Rock Island<br />
and one son was born to this union: Daryl Reitz. The family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> until<br />
1959 when they moved to Fulton, staying there until 1992 when they moved to Moline.<br />
Edmund worked for the Savanna Army Depot for 20 years, retiring in 1959. He then<br />
worked for Phillips 66 Company and Art’s Sinclair Service Station, both in Fulton.<br />
Edmund died April 22, 1993 in Moline and is buried in Fulton Cemetery.<br />
Reitz, Ellen Ann (Nielsen) was born May 16, 1949 in Norfolk, Nebraska and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Jens Leo and Betty Katherine (Petersen) Nielsen. The family moved to<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> in the spring <strong>of</strong> 1960. Ellen graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1967.<br />
She married Denny Reitz and two children were born to this union: Darbie Denise<br />
(Reitz) Petsche and Daren John Reitz. They later divorced. Ellen had lived in Galena<br />
for a number <strong>of</strong> years where she was the owner <strong>of</strong> the Galena Title Company. Ellen<br />
died in Galena, on her 61 st birthday, May 16, 2010.<br />
