Agnes, Vera was born July 8, 1916. She was married to William Agnes and lived in<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> for a short time to live near her daughter Judy Willie. Vera died June 21, 1998<br />

in Fillmore, California.<br />

Albrecht, Kenneth Lee was born October 21, 1940 in Elizabeth Township, Jo Daviess<br />

County and was the son <strong>of</strong> Ludwig Jacob and Mary Elizabeth (Dangel) Albrecht. He<br />

graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1960. Kenneth and his wife Pamela had four<br />

sons: Kendall Albrecht, Matthew “Matt” Albrecht, Anthony “Tony” Albrecht, and<br />

Norman Albrecht. He was a supervisor for the Eaton Corporation in <strong>Hanover</strong> for many<br />

years before transferring to the Eaton plant in Batavia, Illinois. Kenneth died June 30,<br />

1991 and is buried in the West Batavia Cemetery.<br />

Albrecht, Mary Elizabeth (Dangle) was born November 28, 1913 in <strong>Was</strong>hington<br />

Township, Carroll County and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John and Rosina Emma (H<strong>of</strong>fman)<br />

Dangle. She married Ludwig Jacob Albrecht on July 29, 1933 in Savanna and four<br />

children were born to this union: Ludwig John Albrecht, Shirley Ruth (Albrecht)<br />

Deininger, Kenneth Lee Albrecht, and Stanley Ray Albrecht. She worked at the<br />

Savanna Army Depot for a number <strong>of</strong> years and later at the Eaton Corporation in<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong>. Mary lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for more than 45 years before she moved to Stockton.<br />

Mary died March 25, 1993 and is buried in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery,<br />

Massbach.<br />

Allen, Raymond Cletus “Bud” was born October 22, 1919 in rural Elizabeth, Illinois<br />

and was the son <strong>of</strong> John L. and Stella (Tresidder) Allen. He married Jean Everhart on<br />

August 20, 1946 in Galena and one daughter was born to this union: Dora Mae (Allen)<br />

Wunderlin. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Army Veteran. Bud was a telephone<br />

repairman for 30 years at the Savanna Army Depot before retiring in 1974. They lived<br />

in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a short time before moving back to Elizabeth. Jean died in 1997. Bud<br />

died November 21, 1988 and is buried in the Elizabeth Cemetery.<br />

Allen, Sandra “Sandy” Lee (Grummitt) was born August 17, 1946 in Savanna,<br />

Illinois and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Harold William and Virginia Mae (Thompson)<br />

Grummitt. She lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> as a child before her family moved to Savanna. Sandy<br />

graduated from Savanna High School in 1964 and later from AIC in Davenport, Iowa.<br />

She married George T. Allen on September 11, 1965 in Savanna and one son was born<br />

to this union: Brian Allen. Sandy was a bartender at the Savanna VFW for more than<br />

10 years and was the area coordinator for the Veterans Van that provided transportation<br />

to area medical facilities for veterans. Sandy died July 31, 2002 and is buried in<br />

Savanna Township Cemetery.<br />

Allen, Tina M. was born December 7, 1959 in Jacksonville, Illinois and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Charles E. and Dorothy Arlene (Brown) Allen. She graduated from Scales<br />

Mound High School. Tina had one son: Wendell Allen. She lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few<br />

years. Tina died February 24, 2003, her funeral was in <strong>Hanover</strong>, and she is buried in<br />

Scales Mound Township Cemetery.<br />

Ames, Beulah G. (Hall) was born October 14, 1899 in Monticello, Iowa and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Julius S. and Nina Eleanor (Cook) Hall. She married Roy Henry Ames on<br />

April 19, 1920 in Kirksville, Missouri and one daughter was born to this union: Sonya<br />

Jean (Ames) Ostendorf. Beulah lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years. She died<br />

January 22, 1983 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
