Northwestern Medical School in Chicago. George married Christine Catherine<br />

Schwirtz on September 11, 1901 in Galena and one daughter was born to this union:<br />

Louise Jeffers. The couple later divorced. Dr. Jeffers practiced medicine in Elgin,<br />

Kansas for a time and later in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Dr. Jeffers died January 29, 1928<br />

in Pawhuska.<br />

Jeffrey, Kenneth Walter was born May 24, 1913 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Walter<br />

Edward and Clara Bertha (Koempel) Jeffrey. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School<br />

in 1930. Kenneth was a World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran. He married Helen Gaffner on May 23,<br />

1942 in Galena and two daughters were born to this union: Jeanne Jeffrey and JoAnn<br />

(Jeffrey) Anderson. They lived in Galena for a few years and later moved to Freeport<br />

where Kenneth worked as a plumber. Helen was born October 5, 1911 and died<br />

October 25, 1973. Kenneth died April 9, 1974 and they are both buried in Chapel Hill<br />

Cemetery in Freeport.<br />

Jensen, Hans Christian was born December 29, 1911 in Port Clinton, Ohio and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Hans Christian and Karen Jessine (Hansen) Jensen. He married Laurabelle<br />

Moore on September 12, 1939 in Port Clinton, Ohio and four children were born to this<br />

union: Gary Jensen, Gaylord Allyn Jensen, Dale Jensen, and Brenda Joyce (Jensen)<br />

Coates. Hans was a retired tool and dye maker and they lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number<br />

<strong>of</strong> years. Hans died December 25, 1983 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Jensen, Laurabelle (Moore) was born January 12, 1915 Port Clinton, Ohio and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Bertell and Myrtle (Allyn) Moore. She married Hans Jensen on September<br />

12, 1939 in Port Clinton and four children were born to this union: Gary Jensen,<br />

Gaylord Allyn Jensen, Dale Jensen, and Brenda Joyce (Jensen) Coates. The family<br />

lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years where Laurabelle was a homemaker. She died<br />

August 2, 1990 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Jensen, Mary Agnes (Petitgoue) was born September 11, 1909 in Rice Township, Jo<br />

Daviess County and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Desire and Margaret (Creighton) Petitgoue.<br />

She married Allen “Pete” Jensen on November 11, 1939 in Amboy, Illinois and no<br />

children were born to this union. The couple lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years. Mary<br />

died February 12, 1995 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Jestice, Beverly Ann (Sincock) was born October 2, 1939 in Galena, Illinois and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Osborn Richard and Ruth (Falancer) Sincock. She married Kenneth R.<br />

Jestice on October 1, 1966 in Galena and one son was born to this union: Kevin Paul<br />

Jestice. The family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> and Beverly was an employee <strong>of</strong> Eaton<br />

Corporation. She died December 11, 1992 and is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery,<br />

Dubuque.<br />

Jestice, Estelle (Backes) was born January 14, 1912 in Dubuque, Iowa and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Nicholas and Catherine Backes. She married Ralph C. Jestice on August<br />

10, 1933 in Dubuque, Iowa and two children were born to this union: Kenneth Jestice<br />

and Theresa Estelle (Jestice) Jowasky. The family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years.<br />

Estelle was living in Lake Wales, Florida when she died November 7, 1982. She is<br />

buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque.<br />

Jestice, Ralph Christ was born March 29, 1910 in Dubuque, Iowa and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Harry and Elizabeth (Scharff) Jestice. He married Estelle Backes on August 10, 1933 in<br />

Dubuque, Iowa and two children were born to this union: Kenneth Jestice and Theresa<br />

Estelle (Jestice) Jowasky. Ralph attended printer’s school and was formerly employed<br />
