Gray. Frank farmed his entire life in the <strong>Hanover</strong> area and was a cattle buyer for<br />
Dubuque Packing Company in Dubuque for more than 20 years. Frank served as mayor<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Hanover</strong> from 1957 until 1965. Frank died June 8, 2007 and is buried in Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Gray, Hazel Madeline (McClave) Morrison was born January 10, 1909 in rural<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Charles Alexander and Catherine Ann (Duval)<br />
McClave. She attended the <strong>Hanover</strong> schools. Hazel married Elias Henry Morrison on<br />
May 12, 1927 and one daughter was born to this union: Jeannine Adele (Morrison)<br />
Swett. Her husband Elias died in 1955 and she later married Willis “Buck” Leroy Gray<br />
on March 26, 1964 in <strong>Hanover</strong>. Hazel was a secretary for many years at the Savanna<br />
Army Depot and at Jo-Carroll Electric Cooperative. Hazel died October 3, 1997 and is<br />
buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Gray, LaVonne “Bonnie” (Anderson) was born July 21, 1928 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Mack Claron and Emma Frances (Bertsch) Anderson. Bonnie graduated<br />
from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1946. She married Frank Alden Gray September 7, 1947<br />
in <strong>Hanover</strong> and three children were born to this union: Frank Allen Gray, Shelley Anne<br />
Gray, and Charles “Gus” Alden Gray. Bonnie served on the <strong>Hanover</strong> School Board for<br />
a number <strong>of</strong> years and was a bookkeeper at Basic Bookkeeping Service in <strong>Hanover</strong>.<br />
Bonnie died February 13, 1984 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Green, Wilma Agnes (Shaw) was born October 18, 1905 in Maquoketa, Iowa and was<br />
the daughter <strong>of</strong> Albert “Bert” and Agnes Matilda (Wilson) Shaw. She married Albert<br />
Francis Green on April 28, 1926 in Mount Carroll and seven children were born to this<br />
union: William Albert Green, Robert Keith Green, Joyce Ann (Green) Hahn Clark,<br />
Patsy Lee (Green) Streight, Nancy Kay (Green) Meneguin, Sandy Agnes (Green)<br />
Thoeni, and Mary Louise (Green) Turner. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years<br />
before moving to Galena. Wilma worked for many years as a cook in local restaurants<br />
before her retirement. Wilma died March 11, 1991 and is buried in Greenwood<br />
Cemetery, Galena.<br />
Greene, Anna I. (Kirchner) was born June 10, 1917 in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> John A. and Mary Ellen (Gilbert) Kirchner. She married Harold F. Greene<br />
on September 29, 1934 in Galena and three children were born to this union: Harold<br />
Greene, Stella Ann (Greene) Teasdale, and Delcialee “Tiny” (Greene) Frank. She lived<br />
in Galena for many years. Harold died September 24, 1974 and Anna died March 16,<br />
1992. They are both buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Greene, Elma Rose (Schuller) was born October 12, 1919 in Edgemont, South Dakota<br />
and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Fred Peter and Rose Emma (Hudson) Schuller. She graduated<br />
from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1938. Elma married Wilfred Arthur Greene on January 3,<br />
1939 in Clinton, Iowa and seven children were born to this union: Elma Jeanette<br />
(Greene) Koehler, Wilfred LaVerne Greene, Shirley Louise Greene, who died in<br />
childhood, Raymond Dale Greene, Wayne Alden Greene, Loran DeLoss Greene, and<br />
Geraldine Rose (Greene) Greiner. Elma lived in Galena most <strong>of</strong> her life. Emma died<br />
June 12, 1992 and is buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Galena.<br />
Griebenow, Lilian Flora (Kiekh<strong>of</strong>er) was born November 23, 1884 in Naperville,<br />
Illinois and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Herman Julius and Sarah Selina (Sholz) Kiekh<strong>of</strong>er. She<br />
was married to Henry Ernest Griebenow and three children were born to this union:<br />
