1947 in Galena and this union gave her one step-son; Keith Clarence Eadie. Barb lived<br />

all her married life in <strong>Hanover</strong> and worked at the Eaton Corporation for more than ten<br />

years, cooked at Betty’s Café and worked at Vandervate’s Greenhouse. Barb died April<br />

10, 2005 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Eadie, Cletus LaVaughn was born September 17, 1920 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

John Joseph and Caroline Josephine (Rall) Eadie. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />

School 1938. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> Army Veteran. Cletus married Bernadine Lucille<br />

Sweitzer in Lanark on April 11, 1948 and no children were born to this union. Cletus<br />

was an FBI agent and they lived in Alexander, Virginia for many years. They retired to<br />

Junction, Texas. Bernadine was born June 13, 1920 and died March 30, 2007 in<br />

Junction. Cletus died August 2, 1988 and his body was given to the University <strong>of</strong> Texas<br />

for research purposes.<br />

Eadie, Frank “Butch” Neville was born November 5, 1923 in Elizabeth, Illinois and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Frank Wallace and Hanna (Steinberger) Eadie. He moved to the<br />

Pasadena, California area and married June Wilson, this union gave him one<br />

stepdaughter: Virginia “Ginny” Wilson. Butch worked as a welder. The couple<br />

divorced and Butch moved to Lebanon, Oregon and purchased a tavern there. Frank<br />

died in Lebanon on September 4, 1981 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Eadie, Hanna B. (Steinberger) was born January 31, 1900 in Elizabeth, Illinois and<br />

was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John Theodore and Anna J. (Kuhse) Steinberger. She married<br />

Frank Wallace Eadie on June 27, 1918 in Galena and two sons were born to this union:<br />

William John Eadie and Frank Neville Eadie. They farmed in the <strong>Hanover</strong> area for a<br />

number <strong>of</strong> years and during and after World War <strong>II</strong> Hanna worked as an ammunition<br />

inspector at the Savanna Army Depot. She later moved to Elizabeth. Hanna died<br />

January 9, 1994 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Eadie, Keith Clarence was born July 12, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Clarence “Cap” William and Helen (Muchow) Eadie. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />

School in 1958. Keith married Laureen Kay Watson on June 29, 1963 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and<br />

two sons were born to this union: Calvin Keith Eadie and Kevin Keith Eadie. He was a<br />

carpenter in construction and for his last ten years he was an antique dealer. Keith died<br />

August 20, 1993 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Eadie, Ralph William “Bill” was born May 28, 1924 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Ralph Harold and Dorothy Elzada (Limage) Eadie. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />

School in 1943. Bill was a U.S. Navy World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran. He married Vera Cecelia<br />

Atkins in 1950 and four children were born to this union: Colleen Marie (Eadie)<br />

Edgerton, William “Bill” Ralph Eadie, Carolyn Sue (Eadie) Wingert, and John Edward<br />

Eadie who died in infancy on March 6, 1965. Bill owned Eadie’s Plumbing and Heating<br />

in Mt. Carroll for a few years and then joined and worked through the Local 25<br />

Plumbing and Pipe fitters Union in Rock Island for many years. Bill died October 23,<br />

2009 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Eadie, William John was born November 5, 1919 in Dubuque, Iowa and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Frank Wallace and Hanna (Steinberger) Eadie. He married Arlene Monroe on<br />

November 29, 1939 in Dubuque and two daughters were born to this union: Judy Ann<br />

(Eadie) Williams and Joan Vee (Eadie) Condell. He lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong><br />

years before moving to Elizabeth. William was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Navy Veteran. He<br />

was employed at the Savanna Army Depot, Atwood in Stockton and for 23 years he was<br />
