the daughter of Henry William and Tippie L. (Pippen) Wilburn. She married Hollis
Dockins on April 28, 1952 and three children were born to this union: Hollis “Hollie”
Dockins, David Lee Dockins, and Caroline (Dockins) Arnold. At an early age she
moved to Rockford and lived there until 1986, then moved to Hanover. She and Hollis
owned and operated the Old Blanding Tavern & Campground at Blanding. Billie died
May 2, 2003 and cremation rites were accorded.
Dole, Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” (Uecker) Lincicum was born August 17, 1946 and was
the daughter of Warren Erastus and Mary Elizabeth (Hawkins) Uecker. She grew up
and attended school in Hanover. Betsy married John G. Lincicum in September 1973
and one son was born to this union: John H. Lincicum. The couple divorced in
February 1992 and she married Roland “Ron” Dole in June 2001. Betsy worked at
Mirco Switch in Warren and Galena for many years. Betsy was living in Scales Mound
when she died March 14, 2011. A memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church in Hanover.
Domingue, Dorothy “Emo” (Wynia) was born March 15, 1915 in Platte, South Dakota
and was the daughter of Klaus Frank and Elsie Dora (Willis) Wynia. She married
Eugene John Domingue on May 6, 1950 in Chicago and they raised four children:
Linda Domingue, Charlotte Anne (Domingue) Hebert, Timothy “Tim” Scott Domingue,
and Gary P. Domingue. The family moved from Chicago to Hanover in 1969. They
owned and operated the Corral Restaurant in Elizabeth. The family later moved to
Elizabeth. After her husband died she moved to Savanna. Dorothy died May 7, 2006
and is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elizabeth.
Domingue, Eugene “Gene” John was born March 9, 1919 in Crowley, Louisiana and
was the son of Eugene and Arsene (Hebert) Domingue. He was a World War II U.S.
Army Veteran. Gene married Dorothy “Emo” Wynia on May 6, 1950 in Chicago and
they raised four children: Linda Domingue, Charlotte Anne (Domingue) Hebert,
Timothy “Tim” Scott Domingue, and Gary P. Domingue. Central Watch Company in
Chicago employed him from 1948 until 1969, when he moved to Hanover and operated
the Corral Restaurant in Elizabeth for 17 years. He later moved to Elizabeth. Gene died
May 8, 1995 and is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elizabeth.
Domingue, Gary P. was born December 2, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois and was the son of
Eugene John and Dorothy (Wynia) Domingue. He moved to Hanover in 1969 with his
family. Gary graduated from Hanover High School in 1974. Gary died September 1,
1993 in Rockford, Illinois.
Domingue, Timothy “Tim” Scott was born August 3, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois and
was the son of Eugene John and Dorothy (Wynia) Domingue. He graduated from
Hanover High School in 1973 and served in the U.S. Army. He was killed in a one-car
accident on July 27, 1980 near Clinton, Iowa. Tim is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery,

Donahoe, John “Jay” Thomas was born in January 22,1925 in Chicago, Illinois. He
was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran. He married Mary Catherine Sheehan on April
12, 1950 in Chicago and seven children were born to this union: Mary Joan Donahoe,
John Thomas Donahoe, Daniel “Dan” Joseph Donahoe, Terrance “Terry” William
Donahoe, Nancy Ann Donahoe, Joseph “Joe” Richard Donahoe and James Patrick
Donahoe. Jay worked for the Chicago Board of Trade. In the early 1960s the family
moved to rural Hanover and Jay commuted to Chicago to work until he retired in 1972.
