Peschang, Loretta Margaret was born August 11, 1905 in Blanding, Rice Township,<br />

Jo Daviess County and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Peter and Lillian Bell (Fablinger) Peschang.<br />

She operated a bait shop and general store in Blanding for more than 40 years before her<br />

retirement. Loretta died December 31, 1989 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Peters, Wayne O. was born in December 26, 1914 in Hays Springs, Nebraska and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> John Henry and Katherine “Kate” M. (Liembaugh) Peters. He married Dottie<br />

Estes on September 9, 1944 in Alexandria, Louisiana and three children were born to<br />

this union: Diane Peters, Catherine (Peters) Deaderick, and Gary Peters. Wayne was a<br />

World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Army Veteran and was a munitions foreman at the Savanna Army<br />

Depot for a number <strong>of</strong> years. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years before later moving<br />

to Savanna. Wayne died September 15, 1991 and cremation rites were accorded.<br />

Peterson, Edwin “Ed” Eugene was born January 28, 1938 in De Kalb, Illinois and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Paul and Margaret (Gates) Peterson. He married Betty Bjelland and four<br />

children were born to this union: Jeffrey Glenn Peterson, Jennifer Lynne Peterson,<br />

Shelley (Peterson) Stankiewitz, and Cassie Peterson. They later divorced and he<br />

married Margaret J. “Peggy” Wendling; they also divorced. Ed had worked at Eaton<br />

Corporation in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was also a bartender. He lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong><br />

years before he died on January 14, 1992. He was cremated and buried in DeKalb.<br />

Peterson, Nancy Jo (Yardley) was born November 8, 1938 in Gordon, Nebraska and<br />

was the daughter <strong>of</strong> David Henry and Alice Mae (Burress) Yardley. She married<br />

Gordon Peterson Jr. on July 24, 1982 in Savanna. She had four sons: James Lee<br />

Morris, Ronald Morris, William Morris, and Michael Morris and four stepchildren,<br />

Thomas Peterson, John Peterson, Carl Peterson and Nancy (Peterson) Angel. Nancy<br />

died at her home in Savanna on May 25, 1986 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Petitgout, Anna M. (Dankbar) was born April 13, 1895 in rural Jo Daviess County and<br />

was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Henry H. and Lena Eva (Reitz) Dankbar. She married Edmund<br />

Petitgout and one daughter was born to this union: Gladys (Petitgout) Poole. The<br />

family lived in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years. Anna died May 3, 1981 and is buried in<br />

St. Mary’s Cemetery, Galena.<br />

Petitgout, Catherine Irene was born January 30, 1899 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Hippolyte Auguste and Mary (McCormick) Petitgout. She was a supervisor<br />

with the Northwestern Telephone Company <strong>of</strong> East Dubuque before her retirement.<br />

Irene died February 13, 1982 and is buried in East Dubuque Cemetery.<br />

Petitgout, Marguerite Octavie (Girot) was born February 14, 1908 in Rodden,<br />

Elizabeth Township, Jo Daviess County and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Paul Joseph Vital and<br />

Martha Juliette (Quill) Girot. She married Sherman Frances Petitgout on November 9,<br />

1925 in Elizabeth and four children were born to this union: Shirley Ann (Petitgout)<br />

Fassiotto, Phyllis Jeanne (Petitgout) Kampmeir Althafer, James Edward Petitgout, and<br />

Paul Joseph Petitgout. Marguerite worked at the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill, the <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

Locker Plant, and the Savanna Army Depot. Marguerite died December 29, 1995 and
