Kilpatrick, Thomas “Tom” David was born December 26, 1937 in Savanna, Illinois<br />

and was the son <strong>of</strong> David William and Marion Cathern (Dresser) Kilpatrick. He<br />

graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1955. Tom was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He<br />

married Julie Mary O’Brien on February 13, 1958 in Hampton, New Hampshire and<br />

three children were born to this union: David Michael “Mike” Kilpatrick, Linda Rae<br />

(Kilpatrick) Levens, and Karen Ann (Kilpatrick) Birdy. Tom worked at the Savanna<br />

Army Depot Fire Department for 29 years before he retired in 1992. Tom died January<br />

31, 2010 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Kilpatrick, Winifred “Winnie” Ellen (Semrow) was born October 17, 1920 in<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Robert August and Nina Iona (Cook) Semrow. She<br />

was married to Charles “Chuck” William Kilpatrick and one daughter was born to this<br />

union: LeeAnne (Kilpatrick) Mumma. The family lived in Freeport, Illinois from 1946<br />

until 1961, then living in Greenville, South Carolina for many years. They moved back<br />

to live in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years and later moved back to Greenville. Winnie worked,<br />

and retired, from The Gospel Hour television show. Winnie died in Greenville on May<br />

30, 2010 and is buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville.<br />

King, Elizabeth Maria was born January 8, 1899 in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> John Wales and Mary Jane (Topping) King. She graduated from Edgerton<br />

County School and attended <strong>Hanover</strong> High School for two years. She helped work on<br />

the family farm near <strong>Hanover</strong>, was employed in a <strong>Hanover</strong> restaurant and was a weaver<br />

at the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill. Elizabeth died December 12, 1996 and is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

King, Mary Jane was born March 6, 1904 in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong><br />

John Wales and Mary Jane (Topping) King. She worked on the family farm for many<br />

years. Mary died July 13, 1999 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Kinney, Lillian J. (Spoor) was born November 17, 1897 in Galena, Illinois and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> John and Lillie (Boedell) Spoor. She married Neil A. Kinney and no<br />

children were born to this union. The couple lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> most <strong>of</strong> their life. Lillian<br />

worked as a spinner at the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill and as a grocery clerk in <strong>Hanover</strong> for<br />

many years. Lillian died on July 24, 1985 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery,<br />

Galena.<br />

Kirchner, Adam T. was born August 25, 1909 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> John A.<br />

and Mary Ellen (Gilbert) Kirchner. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran and was selfemployed<br />

as a logger and construction worker. Adam died February 3, 1981 and is<br />

buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Kirchner, James Samuel was born January 19, 1921 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

John A. and Mary Ellen (Gilbert) Kirchner. He attended Edgerton School and later the<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> School until 1936 when the family moved. He married Marguerite <strong>Was</strong>son in<br />

1940 and four children were born to this union: Jerry Kirchner, Margaret (Kirchner)<br />

Hudson, Joan (Kirchner) Pratt, and Mary Ellen (Kirchner) Evans. James was employed<br />

at the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill when he was involved in an industrial accident and lost his<br />

right arm. The family moved from <strong>Hanover</strong> to Galena where they spent most <strong>of</strong> their<br />

adult life. James died June 9, 1984 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.<br />

Kirchner, Mary Adelle “Della” (Jackson) was born September 1, 1911 in <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Amos Francis and Bridget Eliza “Bessie” (Whalen) Jackson.<br />

Della attended <strong>Hanover</strong> area schools. Della married Charles “Chuck” S. Kirchner on<br />
