Galena, Illinois and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Clement and Elizabeth (Sincock) Schwirtz. She<br />

graduated from Galena High School in 1943. She married Brian Eugene Bourrette on<br />

February 11, 1943 and four children were born to this union: Nancy Eugenia<br />

(Bourrette) Speer, Patricia “Pat” Ann (Bourrette) Bauer, Thomas “Tom” Clement<br />

Bourrette, and David Brian Bourrette. They farmed in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years.<br />

Her husband Brian died on April 6, 1971. She later married Charles Arthur Casper on<br />

May 8, 1976 and they lived in Galena. Charles died October 10, 1995. Marion died<br />

December 20, 2004 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena.<br />

Chamberlain, George was born July 1, 1914 in Clinton, Wisconsin and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Frederick “Fred” Edward and Myrtle Lavina (Christman) Chamberlain. He married<br />

Anita M. Johnson on April 13, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa and one son was born to this<br />

union: Robert Chamberlain. George was a tool and dye designer for Wittek<br />

Manufacturing in Chicago for more than 34 years when he retired in 1976. He lived in<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years when he died on August 10, 1998. He is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Chamberlain, James “Hank” was born July 1, 1914 in Clinton, Wisconsin and was the<br />

son <strong>of</strong> Frederick “Fred” Edward and Myrtle Lavina (Christman) Chamberlain. He<br />

married Daisy A. Dobbs on September 13, 1937 in Des Plaines, Illinois and two<br />

daughters were born to this union: Mary Ann (Chamberlain) Taylor and Betty<br />

(Chamberlain) Miller. Hank was a design engineer for 30 years before he retired in<br />

1980. They later moved to <strong>Hanover</strong>. Hank died November 9, 1988 and is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Chapman, Berneice Gertrude was born January 27, 1919 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> John William and Jessie (Bearsley) Chapman. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

High School in 1937. Berneice lived in Rockford for many years. She died December<br />

15, 1999 in Rockford.<br />

Chapman, Blanche Loretta was born March 16, 1903 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> John William and Jessie (Bearsley) Chapman. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

High School in 1921. Blanche lived in Rockford for many years. She died January 21,<br />

1999 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Chapman, Clarence “Bud” Charles was born October 18, 1932 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Clarence and Della Rose (Kirchner) Chapman. He was a Korean War<br />

veteran. Clarence lived in Freeport and died there on October 1, 1980. He is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Chapman, Edna Muller was born October 9, 1904 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong><br />

Charles “Dodger” Wesley and Wilhelmina “Minnie” Sophia (Muller) Chapman. She<br />

graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1922. Edna was a schoolteacher in <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

for four years, and then taught in Berwyn, Illinois for 40 years before retiring in June<br />

1965. Edna died July 26, 1987 in Western Springs, Illinois and she is buried in<br />

Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford.<br />

Chapman, Edward William “Bill” was born September 14, 1902 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Frank Henry and Grace Johanna (Moyle) Chapman. He graduated from<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1921. He married Vivian Strasser on December 1, 1923 in<br />

Rockford and four children were born to this union: Frank William Chapman, Carol<br />

Joyce (Chapman) Cleven, Eileen Marjorie (Chapman) Buss, and Ned Eugene Chapman.<br />

Before his retirement Bill was an auditor for the State <strong>of</strong> Illinois and was employed as a<br />
