were buried on the Stewart Family Farm in <strong>Hanover</strong>.<br />
Stewart, Raymond “Ray” Ernest was born January 19, 1948 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
son <strong>of</strong> Norman Kirk and Nona Louise (Campbell) Stewart. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
High School in 1966 and served as President <strong>of</strong> his class. Ray lived in Chicago for<br />
many years where he was President <strong>of</strong> Stewart and Associates Financial Healthcare<br />
Consulting, and he was a partner in McCarthy and Associates Collection and Billing<br />
Agency. Ray died April 29, 1992 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Stewart, William Henry was born November 25, 1934 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
John and Lenora Verlin (Bills) Stewart. He was married, and divorced, to Rita K.<br />
Greene and five sons were born to this union: William Stewart Jr., James Stewart,<br />
Darrel Stewart, Russell Stewart, and James Stewart. William was a truck driver in<br />
Wyoming and Montana for many years. His later years were spent in Fulton, Illinois.<br />
William died March 31, 2000 and is buried in Lower York Cemetery, Thomson.<br />
Stines, Ronald “Ron” Eugene was born March 20, 1932 in Kimball, Nebraska and was<br />
the son <strong>of</strong> Evan and Ethel Gertrude (Davis) Stines. He gradated from Potter High<br />
School in Potter, Nebraska in 1951. Ronald was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War<br />
Veteran. He married Naomi Elizabeth Shabram on July 29, 1955 in Sidney, Nebraska<br />
and five children were born to this union: Elizabeth Ann (Stines) Schaible, Teresa Kay<br />
(Stines) Schaible, Wendolyn “Wendy” Sue (Stines) Gillies, Ronald “Ron” Eugene<br />
Stines <strong>II</strong>, and Sean Allen Stines. Ron began working as a civil servant for the U.S.<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Army in Sidney and transferred to the Savanna Army Depot in the 1970s.<br />
Ron worked at numerous military installations around the world before he retired as<br />
Chief <strong>of</strong> the Ammunition School at the Savanna Army Depot in 1989. Ron died June<br />
16, 2007 and a funeral service was held in <strong>Hanover</strong>.<br />
Stoneking, LaVere P. was born November 26, 1919 in Martelle, Iowa. She graduated<br />
from Mount Vernon High School in 1938. LaVere married Glenn Stoneking in 1939 in<br />
Lisbon, Iowa and three daughters were born to this union: Ruth (Stoneking) Gaul, Carol<br />
(Stoneking) Messer, and Susan (Stoneking) Kodama. She lived most <strong>of</strong> her married life<br />
in Forreston moving to <strong>Hanover</strong> after the death <strong>of</strong> her husband in 1986. LaVere died<br />
April 1, 2003 and cremation rites were accorded.<br />
Stoner, Virginia McClellan (Miller) was born December 31, 1917 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />
the daughter <strong>of</strong> Parke McClellan and Loretta Ann (Ravenscraft) Miller. She graduated<br />
from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1936 and later graduated from Northern Illinois<br />
University. Virginia married Stanley Stewart Stoner after World War <strong>II</strong> and two<br />
children were born to this union: Michael “Mike” James Stoner and Susan McClellan<br />
Stoner. They moved to the San Francisco, California Bay Area and owned and operated<br />
an ice cream shop for many years. The family lived in San Lorenzo, California for<br />
many years. Stanley was born October 22, 1919 in Keokuk County, Iowa and died<br />
December 29, 1987 in San Lorenzo. Virginia died May 10, 2007 in Walnut Creek,<br />
California. Virginia and Stan were both cremated and their ashes were thrown into the<br />
San Francisco Bay.<br />
Storey, Jessie (Dick) was born March 19, 1879 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong><br />
Robert Campbell and Rachel (Calvert) Dick. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School<br />
in 1897. Jessie married Charles Storey and eight children were born to this union:<br />
James R. Storey who died in infancy, Joseph H. Storey, James K. Storey, Rachel L.<br />
Storey, Florence Storey, Raymond C. Storey, Clara Mae Storey, and Robert W. Storey.
