Dame, Beth Ruth (Read) was born March 29, 1915 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter<br />
<strong>of</strong> Robert B. and Blanche L. (Wilcox) Read. She graduated from Elizabeth High School<br />
in 1933. She married Jim Dame on November 24, 1934 in Galena and four children<br />
were born to this union: James “Jim” Dame Jr., Larry Dame, Don Dame, and Doris<br />
(Dame) Dickinsen. The family lived in Freeport for many years. Beth worked at<br />
Read’s Department Store and later retired from Micro Switch after working there 21<br />
years. Beth died August 2, 2004 and is buried in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens,<br />
Freeport.<br />
Dangel, Esther Blanche (Walder) was born February 14, 1919 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Daniel and Christina M. (Tack) Walder. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />
School in 1937. She married Ward Christian Dangel on March 15, 1947 in Galena and<br />
one son was born to this union: Christian Dangel. Esther worked at the <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
Woolen Mill during the World War <strong>II</strong> era and later worked with her husband on their<br />
rural Savanna farm and was know by many as the “egg lady” while doing an egg route<br />
for more than 30 years. Ward died March 15, 1991 and Esther died September 6, 2004.<br />
They are both buried in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Savanna.<br />
Dauphin, Norma Jean (Paisley) was born February 2, 1941 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Winfield Alexander and Alice Thelma (Millington) Paisley. She married<br />
Daniel Dauphin on March 16, 1957 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and four children were born to this<br />
union: Deborah (Dauphin) Leahy, Tina (Dauphin) Zemke, Wendy (Dauphin)<br />
Groharing, and Scott Dauphin. Norma Jean worked at Eaton Corporation in Savanna<br />
for 25 years before she retired. Daniel died December 29, 1995 and Norma Jean died<br />
May 4, 1996 in Savanna. They are both buried in Savanna Township Cemetery.<br />
Davidsaver, Rachael L. (Nesbitt) was born April 27, 1908 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Jesse Sherman and Lenora Hunt (White) Nesbitt. She married Lawrence<br />
Davidsaver on August 20, 1927 and two children were born to this union: Robert<br />
Davidsaver and Margaret Davidsaver. Rachael attended The Finley School <strong>of</strong> Nursing<br />
in Dubuque. The family lived in Dubuque for many years. Her husband Lawrence died<br />
November 29, 1989 and Rachael died January 10, 1998. They are both buried in Mount<br />
Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa.<br />
Davidson, Earl was born November 13, 1883 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Martha<br />
Davidson. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1899. He married Katherine<br />
Young and thought to have had four children, two <strong>of</strong> them were: Hugh Davidson and<br />
Charles Davidson. Earl worked for the railroad and the family lived in Savanna for a<br />
number <strong>of</strong> years.<br />
Davidson, William H. was born December 6, 1919 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Harvey A. and Emily Davidson. He lived in Whiteside County, Illinois for many years.<br />
William died June 11, 1996 in Rock Falls, Illinois and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Davis, Norma Jean (Parker) was born October 4, 1929 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Roscoe William and Charlotte Bell (McCoy) Parker. She graduated from<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1947. Norma married Charles T. Davis on February 3, 1951 in<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> and three children were born to this union: Christine Lorraine (Davis)<br />
Rosaaen, Cynthia Jean (Davis) Walloch, and Gregory Scott Davis. Norma began<br />
working at Caterpillar Tractor in East Peoria, Illinois in 1951, in 1965 began working<br />
