By 1910 the family had moved from <strong>Hanover</strong> to La Crosse, Wisconsin. Jessie died<br />
March 17, 1972 in La Crosse.<br />
Stotler, Alvina Cecelia (Bolz) was born April 15, 1929 in Gurley, Nebraska and was<br />
the daughter <strong>of</strong> Henry Adolph and Johanna (Dykman) Bolz. She graduated from Gurley<br />
High School in 1947. Alvina married William R. Stotler on March 9, 1954 in Nebraska<br />
and they had four children: Raymond Stotler, Rodney D. Stotler, David Lee Stotler, and<br />
Wanda Faye (Stotler) Anderson. The family lived in Nebraska for a number <strong>of</strong> years<br />
before moving to <strong>Hanover</strong> in 1965. Alvina worked at Eaton Corporation and Elkay<br />
Manufacturing. The couple moved to Savanna. Alvina died January 29, 2010 and is<br />
buried in Savanna Township Cemetery.<br />
Stotler, William Roy was born April 8, 1924 in Jerome, Missouri and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Raymond Louis and Oma Mable (Campbell) Stotler. He served in the United States<br />
Army from 1943 until 1946. He married Alvina Cecelia Bolz on March 9, 1954 in<br />
Sidney, Nebraska and they became the parents <strong>of</strong> four children: Raymond Stotler,<br />
Rodney D. Stotler, David Lee Stotler, and Wanda Faye (Stotler) Anderson. William<br />
worked for the Department <strong>of</strong> the Army as a civilian for 33 years and moved to <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
in 1965 to work at the Savanna Army Depot. The couple later moved to Savanna.<br />
William died October 30, 2005 and is buried in the Savanna Township Cemetery.<br />
Straight, Charles Keeler was born March 24, 1940 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Charles Edward and Bette Lorraine (Hancock) Straight. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
High School in 1958. He served for four years with the U.S. Army. Charles married<br />
Anne Shirley McCormick on April 8, 1961 in Huntington, West Virginia and three<br />
children were born to this union: Christopher Charles Straight, Sherrie Anne Straight,<br />
and Carrie Alison Straight. For 23 years he was an area manager at Kelly-Springfield<br />
Tire Company, Freeport. They lived in Forreston, Illinois for a number <strong>of</strong> years before<br />
he died on April 9, 1991. Charles is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Strasser, John William “Bill” was born April 11, 1916 in La Motte, Iowa and was the<br />
son <strong>of</strong> William “Will” and Louise (Pitts) Strasser. He graduated from the Catholic<br />
school in La Motte and later attended Pomona College in California. Bill married<br />
Regina “Jean” Anglin on August 19, 1940 and two daughters were born to this union:<br />
Linda Louise (Strasser) Frederickson and Kay Ellen Strasser. Bill was a lieutenant<br />
colonel in the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific during World War <strong>II</strong>. They<br />
lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years. Bill worked as an ammunition superintendent for the<br />
Concord Naval Weapons Station before he retired. His wife Jean was born July 1, 1918<br />
and died November 15, 2003. Bill died April 25, 1989 in David <strong>Grant</strong> Medical Center<br />
on Travis Air Force Base after a long illness and is buried in Elmira Cemetery,<br />
Vacaville, California.<br />
Stratton, Velma (Kelley) Elsenrath was born February 1, 1907 in Smithton, Missouri<br />
and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John William and Mary Lavinia (Starke) Kelley. Velma was<br />
married to Ralph Harold Elsenrath and two daughters were born to this union: Mary<br />
Carolyn (Elsenrath) Bradt and Kay (Elsenrath) Simon. She later married David C.<br />
Stratton in 1957 and this union gave her one step-son: David Y. Stratton. Velma lived<br />
in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a time and was a former government employee at the Savanna Army<br />
Depot until 1956. She later moved to Sedalia, Missouri. David died February 2, 1977.<br />
Velma died on April 18, 1983 in Sedalia and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery.<br />
Streicher, Virginia May (Zacharek) was born January 5, 1928 in Milwaukee,<br />
219
