daughter <strong>of</strong> John Louis and Salomie “Loma” Lousia (Glover) Hunt. She married<br />
Andrew “Andy” Walker Finley on October 23, 1929 in Philippi, West Virginia and five<br />
children were born to this union: James Robert “Bob” Finley, Mary Alice (Finley)<br />
Pittman, Thomas Andy Finley, Francis Finley, and Michael M. Finley. The family<br />
moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> in 1949 and in the mid 1950s moved to Florida. Anna was the<br />
postmaster at the post <strong>of</strong>fice in New Martinsville, West Virginia for a number <strong>of</strong> years.<br />
Anna died August 8, 1982 in New Martinsville.<br />
Finley, James Robert “Bob” was born November 28, 1932 in Burton, West Virginia<br />
and was the son <strong>of</strong> Andrew “Andy” Walker and Anna Marie (Hunt) Finley. The family<br />
moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> in 1949. Bob graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1950 and later<br />
graduated from West Virginia University. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran. He married<br />
Jeanne Bryant on May 6, 1961 in New Martinsville, West Virginia and three children<br />
were born to this union: Katharine “Kathy” Marie Finley, Bryan Andrew Finley, and<br />
James “Jim” Robert Finley <strong>II</strong>. Bob worked as a CPA/Comptroller and the family lived<br />
in Richardson, Texas for many years. Bob died November 11, 1988 and is buried in<br />
Restland Cemetery, Dallas.<br />
Fischer, Edmund Frank was born October 7, 1917 in Woodbine, Jo Daviess County<br />
and was the son <strong>of</strong> Frank Frederick and Elsie (Schreck) Fisher. He married Genevieve<br />
Reed on December 21, 1935 in Elizabeth and three daughters were born to this union:<br />
Janice (Fischer) O’Brien, Joan (Fischer) Jacobs, and Diane (Fischer) Rees. He lived in<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> for a short time before moving to Elizabeth. Edmund was in partnership with<br />
Donald Fischer, in Fischer Plumbing and Heating before retirement in 1984. Edmund<br />
died April 6, 1988 and is buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Elizabeth.<br />
Fischer, Wyla Allene (Oates) was born November 8, 1926 in Mount Hope, Wisconsin<br />
and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Cecil Eugene and Mona Bell (Crubaugh) Oates. She graduated<br />
from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1945. Wyla married Donald Lawrence Fischer on May<br />
12, 1947 in Elizabeth and three children were born to this union: Joanne Allene<br />
(Fischer) Haas, Steven Eugene Fischer, and Randy Marie (Fischer) Miller. She had<br />
worked at the Savanna Army Depot, the United States Postal Service in Elizabeth, the<br />
State <strong>of</strong> Illinois and was a secretary for Fischer’s Plumbing and Heating in Elizabeth.<br />
Wyla died March 9, 2000 and is buried in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery,<br />
Elizabeth.<br />
Fishburn, Miriam Jean (Burns) was born January 3, 1932 and was the daughter <strong>of</strong><br />
Frank Lenoir and Miriam Anita (Lombard) Burns. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />
School in 1949 and from Deaconess Hospital School <strong>of</strong> Nursing in Freeport in 1952.<br />
Jean was married to Dr. William “Bill” R. Fishburn and had four children: Sarah Elynn<br />
(Fishburn) Gerety, John William Fishburn, Peter Thomas Fishburn, and Joseph Paul<br />
Fishburn. The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where Dr. Fishburn was a<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essor at the University <strong>of</strong> New Mexico and also was a Psychologist in private<br />
practice. Jean worked as a nurse for many years and also worked in her husband’s<br />
<strong>of</strong>fice. Jean moved to Sebring, Florida in 1985 to be near her parents. Jean died<br />
December 27, 2006 and cremation rites were accorded.<br />
Flack, Florence Geneva (Irwin) was born October 29, 1900 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Thomas Drury and Mary (Barnes) Irwin. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />
School in 1918 and attended Northern Illinois University in De Kalb. Geneva married<br />
Frank Lester Flack on October 6, 1920 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and six children were born to this<br />
