as a printer for 14 years at the Catholic Daily Tribune in Dubuque. He was later<br />
employed as a maintenance technician at the Savanna Army Depot for 30 years. He<br />
lived in Savanna and <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years before he retired to Lake Wales, Florida.<br />
His wife Estelle died in Lake Wales in 1982. He later married Marie N. Gruber on<br />
December 23, 1993 in Lake Wales and she died May 11, 2002. Ralph died June 14,<br />
2005 in Florida and is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque.<br />
Jinks, Berneice (Harkness) was born in about 1899. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
High School in 1917. In 1930 Berneice was living in Ridgeway, Missouri and was<br />
married to a Mr. Jinks.<br />
Jobe, Earl Kenneth was born July 15, 1912 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Charles<br />
Harry and Mable (Sanderson) Jobe. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1929<br />
and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Earl married Minerva Lucretia<br />
Chapman on December 19, 1930 in Rock Island, Illinois. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S.<br />
Navy Veteran. Earl was a cost accountant at J.I. Case Company in Rockford for seven<br />
years, and was a garage foreman at the Savanna Army Depot for 25 years. He formally<br />
retired in 1977. He also worked in the banking industry for six years, and drove school<br />
bus for the <strong>Hanover</strong> School District. Earl died November 29, 2001 and is buried in<br />
Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Jobe, Floyd LeRoy was born September 8, 1908 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Charles<br />
“Harry” and Mabel (Sanderson) Jobe. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1926.<br />
He married Bernice Bright in 1930 in La Crosse, Wisconsin and three children were<br />
born to this union: Alice (Jobe) Whittenburg, Janice (Jobe) Angell, and Donald Jobe.<br />
Floyd was a retired railroad employee and was living in Onalaska, Wisconsin when he<br />
died on June 28, 1982.<br />
Jobe, Minerva Lucretia (Chapman) was born November 28, 1914 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />
the daughter <strong>of</strong> Frank Henry and Grace Johanna (Moyle) Chapman. She graduated from<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1932. Minerva married Earl Kenneth Jobe on December 19,<br />
1930 in Rock Island, Illinois. She worked at the Savanna Army Depot during and after<br />
World War <strong>II</strong>. Minerva died February 21, 1997 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Johnsen, Edward G. was born March 5, 1922 in Port Byron, Illinois and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Edward and Margaret (Hunt) Johnsen. Edward had three sons from his first marriage:<br />
Lawrence Johnsen, Kenneth Johnsen, and Fred Johnsen. He later married Gladys<br />
(Wetter) Petitgout on March 26, 1977 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and this union gave him two<br />
stepdaughters: Yvonne Margaret (Petitgoue) Campbell and Jeanine Mary (Petitgoue)<br />
Kehl. Edward was a retired farmer, a seed corn dealer for Golden Harvest, and a weight<br />
master at the Elizabeth Sales Barn. Edward died March 11, 1988 and is buried in<br />
Fairfield Cemetery, Port Byron.<br />
Johnsen, Gladys M. (Wetter) Petitgoue was born April 1, 1918 in Lancaster,<br />
Wisconsin and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> William Henry and Bessie Mae (Leindecker) Wetter.<br />
She graduated from Galena High School in 1935. She married Joseph Petitgoue on June<br />
22, 1935 in Galena and two were born to this union: Yvonne Margaret (Petitgoue)<br />
Campbell and Jeanine Mary (Petitgoue) Kehl. Her husband Joseph died on March 26,<br />
1974, and she later married Edward G. Johnsen on March 26, 1977 in <strong>Hanover</strong>. This<br />
union gave her three stepsons: Lawrence Johnsen, Kenneth Johnsen, and Fred Johnsen.<br />
Gladys was a Secretary for the Jo Daviess Service Company for 17 years, retiring in<br />
1977. Gladys was living in Janesville, Wisconsin when she died on November 18,
