She was educated in the Pleasant Hill Country School. Elizabeth married William<br />
Wand on December 27, 1932 in Elizabeth and seven children were born to this union:<br />
Judy (Wand) McGivney, Mary Lou (Wand) Schaible, Alvin Wand, Wayne Wand, Dale<br />
Wand, Bob Wand, and William Wand. Her husband William died August 7, 1957 and<br />
she married Harold Rayhorn on November 11, 1960 in Elizabeth. Elizabeth died March<br />
29, 2002 and is buried in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Elizabeth.<br />
Rayhorn, Lorraine Elizabeth (Ganshirt) was born February 24, 1924 and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Aloysius Oscar “Allie” and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Glick) Ganshirt. She<br />
was married to Kenneth Albert Rayhorn and 11 children were born to this union:<br />
Wilhelmena “Billie” Ethel (Rayhorn) Nolan, Judith “Judy” Ann (Rayhorn) Wand,<br />
Kenneth John Rayhorn, Kathleen “Kathy” Susan (Rayhorn) Stoval, Victoria “Vickie”<br />
Lynn (Rayhorn) Yoeckel, Karen Ellen (Rayhorn) Switzer, twins Dennis Lee Rayhorn<br />
and Debra “Debbie Rae (Rayhorn) Cocagne, Gregg Rayhorn, and twins Robert Walter<br />
Rayhorn and Roberta Irene (Rayhorn) Ware. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a few years in<br />
the 1970s before moving to Galena. Her husband Kenneth died May 31, 1975. Lorraine<br />
died March 6, 1982 and is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Galena.<br />
Read, Charlene Mercedes (Eadie) was born October 23, 1917 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> John Joseph and Caroline Josephine (Rall) Eadie. She graduated from<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1935. Charlene married Maurice Rosswell Read on February<br />
17, 1938 in Dubuque and two children were born to this union: Maureen Kay (Read)<br />
Kolocek and David Maurice Read. Charlene was employed in the insurance department<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau in Elizabeth until she retired in 1977. Charlene<br />
died September 22, 1992 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Read, Maurice Rosswell was born July 28, 1914 in Elizabeth Township, Jo Daviess<br />
County and was the son <strong>of</strong> Lawrence LeeRoy and Dorothea “Dora” (Myers) Read. He<br />
graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1933. Maurice married Charlene Mercedes<br />
Eadie on February 17, 1938 in Dubuque and two children were born to this union:<br />
Maureen Kay (Read) Kolocek and David Maurice Read. He was employed at the<br />
Savanna Army Depot until his retirement in 1957, and then worked for the Elizabeth<br />
Garage for 20 years. Maurice died December 16, 1991 and is buried in Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Ready, Dorothy Jeanette was born October 25, 1937 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter<br />
<strong>of</strong> Clarence A. and Bernice Lucille (Garrow) Ready. Dorothy lived in Savanna for<br />
many years and had one son, Johnny Ray Ready. She worked as a cook at Gourley’s<br />
Restaurant in Savanna. Dorothy died January 12, 2001 and is buried in Savanna<br />
Township Cemetery.<br />
Reasor, Phillip was born October 2, 1947 in Paris, Illinois and was the son <strong>of</strong> Arthur<br />
Eugene and Geraldine (Clark) Reasor. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. Phillip<br />
married Sandra S. Brown on December 17, 1967 and two children were born to this<br />
union: Matthew Reasor and Holly Reasor. He received his Masters Degree from<br />
Eastern Illinois University and his Ph.D from Southern Illinois University. He was<br />
Superintendent <strong>of</strong> River Ridge School. Phillip died June 21, 1996; he was cremated and<br />
his ashes were spread over the Atlantic Ocean.<br />
Redington, Carl Andrew was born August 26, 1914 in Apple River, Illinois and was<br />
the son <strong>of</strong> Michael Francis and Mary Mayme (Gable) Redington. He married Gladys<br />
Charlene Skaggs in February 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa and five children were born to this
