Hysen. William died October 8, 1965. The family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong><br />

years and Effie was an Avon saleswoman. She later owned Tyson’s Fashionette in<br />

Elizabeth. She moved to Darlington, Wisconsin. Effie died December 1, 1980 and is<br />

buried in the Elizabeth cemetery.<br />

Uecker, Frederick “Fred” Benjamin was born June 27, 1950 in Savanna, Illinois and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Warren Erastus and Mary Elilzabeth (Hawkins) Uecker. He lived his<br />

early years in <strong>Hanover</strong> and graduated from Moline Senior High School in 1968. Fred<br />

moved to Sacramento, California in the 1970s; to Pocatello, Idaho in 1992; and to<br />

Fairbanks, Alaska in 2002. He was married, and divorced, to Brenda Hisey and two<br />

children were born to this union: Jeanette (Uecker) McCrum and Michelle (Uecker)<br />

Kennewick. Fred worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and welder most <strong>of</strong> his life.<br />

Fred died in Fairbanks July 6, 2004; he was cremated and buried in Evergreen<br />

Cemetery.<br />

Uecker, Warren Augusta was born April 25, 1940 in Freeport, Illinois and was the son<br />

<strong>of</strong> Warren Erastus and Mary Elizabeth (Hawkins) Uecker. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

High School in 1958 and graduated from Strayer University, Fredericksburg, Virginia.<br />

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He married Betty Spain on August 12, 1967 and two<br />

children were born to this union: Warren C. Uecker and Susan (Uecker) Kessel. Prior<br />

to his retirement he was employed in the computer industry for 47 years, culminating as<br />

QA systems analyst for New York Life Insurance Company in Reno, Nevada. He was<br />

living in Stuarts Draft, Virginia when he died on September 1, 2007; he was cremated<br />

and a funeral service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in <strong>Hanover</strong>.<br />

Uecker, Warren Erastus was born June 2, 1913 in rural Stockton, Illinois and was the<br />

son <strong>of</strong> Frederick August and Dolly Mae (Kepner) Uecker. He graduated from Stockton<br />

High School in 1931. He married Mary Elizabeth Hawkins on October 2, 1938 and ten<br />

children were born to this union: Warren Augusta Uecker, James Clyde Uecker, Marsha<br />

Sue (Uecker) Becker, Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” (Uecker) Dole, Frederick Benjamin<br />

Uecker, Holly Mae Uecker (died at birth on November 1, 1954), Robert Earl Uecker,<br />

Ann Marie (Uecker) Greenberg, Martha Lynn (Uecker) Nelson, and Nona May (Uecker)<br />

Green. Warren was a World War <strong>II</strong> veteran and a past commander <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

VFW. The Uecker family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years when he was the Fire<br />

Chief at the Savanna Army Depot. They moved to Moline, Illinois when Warren was<br />

transferred to the Rock Island Arsenal. After retirement they moved to Albuquerque,<br />

New Mexico. He later worked in Alaska and North Dakota in the private fire<br />

department industry. He became involved in the Pine Cienga Ranch in Mule Creek,<br />

New Mexico. Warren was shot to death on July 19, 1980 on the ranch. His ashes were<br />

scattered on Emery Pass in New Mexico and a memorial marker placed in Evergreen<br />

Cemetery.<br />

Unangst, Betty “TeeDo” Mildred (Zane) was born May 21, 1921 in Protection,<br />

Kansas and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Squire Boone and Mildred Olive (Minor) Zane. She<br />

moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa when she was three years old and grew up on the family farm<br />

until she graduated from Oskaloosa High School. She moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> in 1940 to<br />

work in the <strong>Hanover</strong> Woolen Mill as a weaver. Betty married Roland Claude Unangst<br />

on January 23, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri and three children were born to this union:<br />

Roland “Ron” Zane Unangst, Vickie Lee (Unangst) Gratton, and Linda Rae (Unangst)<br />

Campbell. Betty worked at the Savanna Army Depot and Eaton Corporation. Betty died
