1960. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years and later lived in Savanna, Freeport<br />

and Mount Morris. Max died September 7, 1994 and is buried in Fairmount Cemetery,<br />

Polo.<br />

Haywood, Freda Jane (Smith) was born August 16, 1905 in Darlington, Wisconsin.<br />

She married Arthur Thomas Haywood on December 22, 1930 in Hampshire, Illinois and<br />

one daughter was born to this union: Dawn Ellen (Haywood) Callahan. They moved to<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> in 1941. Freda died August 27, 1987 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Hazer, Betty Louisa (Reifsteck) was born April 8, 1921 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> Otto Christian and Ora Hazel (Limage) Reifsteck. She attended <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

schools. Betty married Alvin Emil Young on July 27, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa and four<br />

children were born to this union: Sandra Lou (Young) Niles, Sally Jean (Young) Doran,<br />

Stanley Alvin Young, and Sharon Ann (Young) Wilson. Her husband Alvin died in<br />

1962 and she married Marvin Eugene Hazer on July 5, 1969 in <strong>Hanover</strong>. Betty had<br />

worked 20 years for Eaton Corporation in Savanna and <strong>Hanover</strong>. Betty died September<br />

29, 1999 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Hazer, Genevieve Lucile (Wagner) was born March 25, 1896 in Bellevue, Iowa and<br />

was the daughter <strong>of</strong> John Peter “J.P.” and Margaret (Clasen) Wagner. She married<br />

William “Willie” Peter Hazer on November 7, 1916 and nine children were born to this<br />

union: Dorothy Maragert (Hazer) Gibbs, Ethel Anastasia (Hazer) Portz, Ruth Mae<br />

(Hazer) Ingram, Marvin Eugene Hazer, Valerie Rachel (Hazer) Connor, Richard Carl<br />

Hazer, Betty Jane Hazer, Kay Ann (Hazer) Berlage, and Paul Roger Hazer. They<br />

farmed in Iowa until June 1942 when they moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> and later to Elizabeth.<br />

Genevieve died August 15, 1980 and is buried in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Otter Creek,<br />

Iowa.<br />

Hazer, Marvin Eugene was born July 26, 1924 in La Motte, Iowa and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

William “Willie” Peter and Genevieve Lucile (Wagner) Hazer. He married Betty<br />

Louisa (Reifsteck) Young on July 5, 1969 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and this union gave him four<br />

stepchildren: Sandra Lou (Young) Niles, Sally Jean (Young) Doran, Stanley Alvin<br />

Young, and Sharon Ann (Young) Wilson. Marvin was employed at the Savanna Army<br />

Depot for ten years before he retired in May 1975. Previously Freeport Blacktop<br />

employed him for 15 years. Marvin died March 29, 1993 and is buried in Evergreen<br />

Cemetery.<br />

Healy IV, James “Jim” E. was born October 17, 1950 in Libertyville, Illinois and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> James E. and Albina (Pragovich) Healy <strong>II</strong>I. He graduated from Evergreen<br />

Park High School in 1968. Jim married Judy A. Gossage on October 17, 1987 in<br />

Milwaukee, Wisconsin and one daughter was born to this union: Allerina “Allie”<br />

Healy. The family moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> in the 1990s, and they owned and operated the<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> Café. Jim died September 29, 2008 and cremations rites were accorded.<br />

Hebeler, Maxine Irene (Aitkens) was born February 2, 1926 in Bensenville, Illinois<br />

and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> David Wilson and Isabelle Ella (Shelly) Aitkens. She married<br />

Edward William Hebeler and 13 children were born to this union: Joyce Lavina<br />

(Hebeler) Dewey, Anna (Hebeler) Hubble, Shirley (Hebeler) Leifort, Dorothy Louise<br />

(Hebeler) Mottin, Karen (Hebeler) Hintgen, Shelly (Hebeler) Kratzenberg, Edward<br />

James Hebeler, Franklin Hebeler, John Henry Hebeler, Alfred Hebeler, William Peter<br />

Hebeler, Ricky Allen Hebeler, and one other son. Her husband Edward William died<br />
