Barbara “Barb” Elaine (Miller) James. Phyllis died June 27, 2006 and is buried in<br />
Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Miller, Richard “Dick” Clement was born August 2, 1919 in Rice Township, Jo<br />
Daviess County and was the son <strong>of</strong> Richard E. and Agnes Frances (Lyden) Miller. He<br />
graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1937. Dick was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Army<br />
Veteran. He married Beverly Jeanne Sandlin on July 21, 1951 in Princeton and two<br />
sons were born to this union: Richard Dean Miller Jr., Kevin Miller who died in infancy<br />
on December 23, 1956, and Michael John Miller. He was employed as a program and<br />
plans <strong>of</strong>ficer at the Savanna Army Depot for 32 years and served on the <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
Village Board for 12 years. Dick died April 8, 1992 and is buried in Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Miller, Richard “Dick” Dean was born October 4, 1951 in Freeport, Illinois and was<br />
the son <strong>of</strong> Richard Clement and Beverly Jeanne (Sandlin) Miller. He graduated from<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1969 and attended Highland Community College. He married<br />
Nancy Breed on January 1, 1972 in Elizabeth and two children were born to this union:<br />
Derek Miller and Nicole (Miller) Swanson. They were later divorced. Dick worked at<br />
Eaton Corporation for four years, Kelly Springfield Tire Company in Freeport for more<br />
than ten years, and was a bartender at the Mill City Tap and the Viking Inn in <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
for a number <strong>of</strong> years. Dick died December 24, 2006 and is buried in Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Mills, Robert Isaac was born December 14, 1918 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Hugh<br />
Alexander and Lois Anna (Steele) Mills. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in<br />
1936. Robert married Charlotte Mardelle McKinley on August 26, 1940 and ten<br />
children were born to this union: Carlton Robert Mills, John Richard Mills, Peter<br />
Eugene Mills, James Albert Mills, Douglas William Mills, Andrew “Andy” Raymond<br />
Mills, Susan Elizabeth (Mills) Greathouse, Jane Anne (Mills) Rieman, Debra “Debbie”<br />
Marie (Mills) Kennedy, and Phillip Edwin Mills. Robert farmed in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> from<br />
1939 until retirement in 1973. He worked as a pr<strong>of</strong>essional photographer from 1950<br />
until 1956 and from 1973 until 1990 he worked as an independent trucker. Robert died<br />
November 16, 2005 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Milner, Alberta “Bert” Marie (Flynn) was born November 15, 1927 in Rice<br />
Township, Jo Daviess County and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> James John and Liane M.<br />
(Petitgout) Flynn. She lived in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> Township until her marriage to Paul A.<br />
Milner on June 25, 1966. They later moved to Scales Mound. Alberta was employed at<br />
the Savanna Army Depot, Eaton Corporation, and Micro Switch in Galena prior to her<br />
retirement. She also worked part-time at the restaurant in Scales Mound. Alberta died<br />
August 11, 1994 and is buried in St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery, Benton, Wisconsin.<br />
Milner, Paul A. was born June 30, 1924 in Benton, Wisconsin and was the son <strong>of</strong> John<br />
Alton “Kelly” and Regina Pearl (McGuire) Milner. Paul married Alberta “Bert” Marie<br />
Flynn on June 25, 1966 in <strong>Hanover</strong>. They later moved to Scales Mound. He was<br />
employed as a mechanic by Eagle Pitcher Mining Company for several years and later<br />
worked for Eaton Corporation in <strong>Hanover</strong> until he retired in 1983. Paul died September<br />
26, 1987 in Scales Mound and is buried in St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery, Benton.<br />
Milton, Marilyn Reola (Hunt) was born July 22, 1925 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />
daughter <strong>of</strong> Orrin Glen and Florence L. (Williams) Hunt. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
High School in 1943. Marilyn lived in Joplin, Missouri for a number <strong>of</strong> years and died
