Howard Weede Kilpatrick on February 14, 1951 in Davis, Illinois and four daughters<br />
were born to this union: Mary (Kilpatrick) Currier, Marcia (Kilpatrick) Maize, Shirley<br />
(Kilpatrick) Brill, and Sharon (Kilpatrick) Hastings. The family lived in Dakota, Illinois<br />
for many years. Alta died July 19, 1989 and is buried in Log Church Cemetery.<br />
Kilpatrick, Barbara Elizabeth (Gillespie) was born March 31, 1915 in Juda,<br />
Wisconsin and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> the Reverend James Wallace and Jessie Mae<br />
(Kramer) Gillespie. She graduated from Auburn High School and attended Northern<br />
Illinois University, De Kalb. Barbara married James Irwin Kilpatrick on December 8,<br />
1951 in Thomson, Illinois and two children were born to this union: James Robert<br />
Kilpatrick, who was stillborn in 1954, and Jean Ann (Kilpatrick) Ruebner. Barbara was<br />
a homemaker and also helped her husband farm in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years.<br />
Barbara and Irwin moved to Galesburg to be near their daughter. Barb died in<br />
Galesburg on January 2, 1999. She was first buried in Evergreen Cemetery and later<br />
moved to the Log Church Cemetery.<br />
Kilpatrick, Elva was buried in Log Church Cemetery on July 27, 2004.<br />

Kilpatrick, Erma Claire (Pressly) was born July 15, 1916 in Ainsworth, Iowa and was<br />
the daughter <strong>of</strong> Joseph Blaine and Jessie Lola (Walker) Pressly. She graduated from the<br />
Burlington, Iowa School <strong>of</strong> Business. She married the Reverend Marion Clifford<br />
Kilpatrick on May 3, 1940 in Ainsworth, Iowa and two sons were born to this union:<br />
John Pressly Kilpatrick and William Byron Kilpatrick. They moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> in<br />
1946, where Marion was the pastor at the United Presbyterian Church. Erma later began<br />
working at the Savanna Army Depot. Erma died March 25, 2006 and is buried in<br />
Ainsworth.<br />
Kilpatrick, Howard Weede was born April 12, 1911 <strong>Hanover</strong> Township and was the<br />
son <strong>of</strong> Howard Thomas and Fannie Estella “Stella” (Weede) Kilpatrick. He graduated<br />
from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1930. In 1944 he graduated from Palmer College <strong>of</strong><br />
Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa and was a 1947 graduate from Sterling College, Sterling,<br />
Kansas. He married Alta M. Tielkemeier on February 14, 1951 in Davis and four<br />
daughters were born to this union: Mary (Kilpatrick) Currier, Marcia (Kilpatrick)<br />
Maize, Shirley (Kilpatrick) Brill, and Sharon (Kilpatrick) Hastings. Howard lived in<br />
Dakota, Illinois for a number <strong>of</strong> years and was employed in the shipping department at<br />
Micro Switch before retiring in 1977. Howard died June 5, 1996 and is buried in Log<br />
Church Cemetery.<br />
Kilpatrick, James Irwin was born October 13, 1916 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Howard Thomas and Fannie Estella “Stella” (Weede) Kilpatrick. He graduated from<br />
<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1933 and attended Monmouth College for two years. He<br />
married Barbara Elizabeth Gillespie on December 8, 1951 in Thomson, Illinois and two<br />
children were born to this union: James Robert Kilpatrick who was stillborn in 1954<br />
and Jean Ann (Kilpatrick) Ruebner. He farmed in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> for most <strong>of</strong> his life.<br />
Irwin was a member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Hanover</strong> School Board for 13 years. After they retired from<br />
farming they later moved to Galesburg to be near their daughter. Irwin died January 1,<br />
2005 in Galesburg and is buried in Log Church Cemetery.<br />
Kilpatrick, John Philip was born April 23, 1948 in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
David William and Marion Cathern (Dresser) Kilpatrick. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />
High School in 1966, from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois in 1970, and in<br />
1976 earned his Master’s Degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. John married
