Lost Mound Cemetery.<br />

Hunt, Mary Magdalyn (Whalen) was born November 12, 1895 in <strong>Hanover</strong> Township<br />

and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> William and Anna Cecilia (Cullen) Whalen. She married<br />

Hiram Simpson Hunt on May 27, 1922 in Elizabeth and they raised five children:<br />

Ordrey Benson Hunt, Arthur “Tink” Rayden Hunt, Rachel Mae (Hunt) Hudson, Leo<br />

Robert Whalen, and Donald Earl Hunt. Mary died January 5, 1992 and is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Hunt, Olive Lucretia (Bray) was born January 8, 1899 in Elizabeth, Illinois and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Charles H. and Ella M. (Heath) Bray. She graduated from Elizabeth<br />

High School in 1916. Olive married Arthur Jay Hunt on January 7, 1919 in Elizabeth<br />

and no children were born to this union. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> most <strong>of</strong> their lives, but<br />

did live in Sydney, Nebraska for a few years. Olive died February 20, 1986; she was<br />

cremated and buried under a lilac bush on the property <strong>of</strong> her rural <strong>Hanover</strong> home at<br />

11550 Route 84 South.<br />

Hunt, Orrin Glen was born December 20, 1884 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the son <strong>of</strong> Ernest<br />

Ferna and Elizabeth (Schmeck) Hunt. He married Florence L. (Williams) Reed in 1923<br />

and this union gave him one stepson: Delmar James Reed. Two daughters were born to<br />

this union: Marilyn Reola Hunt and Norma Jean Hunt. The family lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for<br />

many years and retired to Arizona. Orrin died in June 1965 in Arizona.<br />

Hutchins, Donald “Hutch” Levi was born August 25, 1926 in Jesup, Iowa and was the<br />

son <strong>of</strong> Frederick J. and Frances (Kies) Hutchins. He transferred from Loras Academy in<br />

Dubuque, Iowa to <strong>Hanover</strong> in August 1943 and graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High School in<br />

1946. Donald was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Army Veteran. He married Betty Lou Stampe<br />

on August 11, 1951 in Rockford and three daughters were born to this union: Linda<br />

(Hutchins) White, Karen (Hutchins) Friendman, and Donna (Hutchins) Long. Hutch<br />

was a mail carrier in the Rockford Post Office for 31 years when he retired in 1987.<br />

Donald died December 30, 2006 in Loves Park and is buried in Sunset Memorial<br />

Gardens, Rockford.<br />

Hyink, Agnes Lillian (Bruzek) was born August 10, 1892 in Chicago, Illinois and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Joseph and Marie (Mudra) Bruzek. She married Benjamin “Ben” F.<br />

Hyink on May 25, 1915 in Chicago and two children were born to this union: Rosebud<br />

Lillian (Hyink) Grishkowsky and Byron Hyink. Agnes was a former supervisor for the<br />

Illinois Bell Telephone Company. Agnes lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for a number <strong>of</strong> years with<br />

her daughter and son-in-law, Rosebud and Pastor Henry Grishkowsky. Benjamin died<br />

in September 1955 and Agnes died April 15, 1983. They are buried in Oak Ridge<br />

Cemetery, Palos, Illinois.<br />

Ingersoll, Marie Madelene (Walder) was born February 2, 1911 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was<br />

the daughter <strong>of</strong> Daniel and Christena M. (Tack) Walder. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

High School in 1931. Marie married Irvin Ingersoll on June 10, 1931 in Galena and<br />

nine known children were born to this union: Wesley Ingersoll, Daniel Ingersoll, Jerry<br />

Ingersoll, Wayne Ingersoll, William Ingersoll, Donald Ingersoll, Patricia (Ingersoll)<br />

Ford, Esther (Ingersoll) Mills, and Mary Jane Ingersoll. This union also gave her four<br />

stepchildren: Irvin Ingersoll, Josie (Ingersoll) Klitz, Virginia (Ingersoll) Lake, and<br />

Jackie (Ingersoll) Kosoman. The family lived in Savanna for many years. Marie died in<br />

July 1980 in Savanna and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
