<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1966. He was married to Linda Lou Beyer and three children<br />

were born to this union: Christopher Curtis Lord, DeAnna Lynn (Lord) Petterra, and<br />

Timothy Michael Lawrence Lord. Curtis farmed and worked for the city <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hanover</strong> for<br />

many years. At the time <strong>of</strong> his death he was engaged to marry Darlene M. Timpe.<br />

Curtis died April 17, 2000 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Lord, Curtis William was born July 17, 1923 in Thomson, Illinois and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Reverdy Reed and Stella Jane (Matthew) Lord. He married Marion Iliene Lahre on June<br />

26, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri and four children were born to this union: Curtis William<br />

Lord Jr., Robert Keith Lord, Paul Lord, and Cheryl Iliene (Lord) Reitz. He farmed in<br />

the <strong>Hanover</strong>, Elizabeth, and Derinda area for many years. Curtis also worked on the<br />

Lawrence Mitchell farm for many years. Curtis died March 5, 2005 and is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Lord, Eugene S. was born March 5, 1917 in Carroll County, Illinois and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Reverdy Reed and Stella Jane (Matthew) Lord. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran.<br />

Eugene married Christine Wallace in Oktaha, Oklahoma and three children were born to<br />

this union: Michael Allen Lord, Glenn Lord, and a daughter. He was raised in Carroll<br />

County and farmed in rural <strong>Hanover</strong> until he moved to Oklahoma in 1958. Eugene died<br />

September 25, 1992 in Oktaha.<br />

Lord, Marion “Muzzy” Iliene (Lahre) was born October 3, 1926 in Savanna, Illinois<br />

and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Paul Earl and Hazel Helen (Ritchie) Lahre. She married Curtis<br />

William Lord Sr. on June 26, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri and four children were born to<br />

this union: Curtis William Lord Jr., Robert Keith Lord, Paul Lord, and Cheryl Iliene<br />

(Lord) Reitz. She and her husband farmed in the <strong>Hanover</strong>, Elizabeth and Derinda area<br />

for many years, and Marion also worked at the <strong>Hanover</strong> school for eight years. Marion<br />

died August 17, 1998 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Lord, Robert “Bob” Keith was born September 24, 1954 in Savanna, Illinois and was<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Curtis William and Marion Iliene (Lahre) Lord. He graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong><br />

High School in 1972. Bob was employed by the Eaton Corporation for five years, John<br />

Deere Dubuque Works, AY McDonald and Signcraft <strong>of</strong> Galena. Bob lived in Galena<br />

for a number <strong>of</strong> years before he died on November 28, 2007.<br />

Lord, Timothy Michael Lawrence was born December 6, 1980 in Galena, Illinois and<br />

was the son <strong>of</strong> Curtis William and Linda Lou (Beyer) Lord. He was active in 4-H, Cub<br />

Scouts, River Ridge Little League and was a member <strong>of</strong> the Chestnut Mountain Junior<br />

Ski Team. Tim died August 14, 1990, following a tractor accident. He is buried in<br />

Evergreen Cemetery.<br />

Luy, Donald J. was born July 14, 1913 in Gratiot, Wisconsin and was the son <strong>of</strong> James<br />

and Catherine R. (Wand) Luy. He was a World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran and was active in the<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> VFW. He married Darlene Sigafus on August 27, 1952 and four children were<br />

born to this union: Donald Luy Jr., David Luy, Ann (Luy) Jordan, and Diane Luy. He<br />

retired from the Savanna Army Depot in 1970. Donald was living in Warren when he<br />

died on October 16, 1982, and is buried in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Warren.<br />

Lyons, Helena Elizabeth (Speer) was born May 27, 1915 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the<br />

daughter <strong>of</strong> James Arthur and Florence Ann (Nesbitt) Speer. She graduated from<br />

<strong>Hanover</strong> High School in 1933. Helena married Kenneth Lyons on July 21, 1945.<br />

Helena lived in Redwood City, California for many years and later moved to San Diego.<br />

Helena died December 1, 2000 in LaQuinta, California.<br />
